Tabatha and Shawn met when they were so young!  Right after that first date, they fell in love and each believed wholeheartedly that they found the one they would marry.  When you know, you just know!  After almost nine years together, they now begin a new life together in marriage.  To quote Shawn, Tabatha “loves me through and through, inside and out, and for that I am grateful that she is by my side forever.”  Tabatha shared beautiful sentiments as well: “We grew up with one another, for one another, beside one another, and there’s no one in this world who could ever fill his shoes.”

Tabatha and Shawn chose to have a rustic fall wedding, set on the grounds of a Civil War era farmhouse and 30-acres of bucolic nature preserves of Battlefield Bed and Breakfast in Gettysburg, PA.  Their wedding was filled to the brim with character and charm and featured wonderful, warm fall colors.  No detail was overlooked in coordinating this harvest inspired wedding!  They also made sure to incorporate lots of firefighter equipment and gear in tribute to Shawn’s profession.

Tabatha’s gorgeous wedding dress was covered in lace, and had a full, flowing ruffled skirt.  It was strapless and featured a stunning jeweled belt.  Check out those wildflower covered cowboy boots, so in keeping with the rustic theme!  Her beautiful bridesmaids wore pretty matching robes as they prepared for the day, then changed into such lovely plum dresses (and cowboy boots, of course!).  Shawn and his groomsmen wore plum gingham plaid shirts with tangerine colored bow ties and coordinating boutonnieres.  They skipped the jackets and sported tan vests instead – very rustic chic!

Such wonderful décor was found all throughout this wedding.  Their outdoor aisle on the Great Lawn was flanked by split tree logs with bright wildflower arrangements atop.  And look at the spectacular entrance made by Tabatha!  She walked though rustic barn doors assembled at the end of the aisle, flanked by gorgeous arrangements of fall flowers – mums and ornamental cabbages and kales set upon haystacks.  Her beautiful wildflower bouquet overflowed with the fall oranges, yellows and plums of her wedding theme.  Foster’s Flowers did an outstanding job with the floral décor.

We were so enamored with the emotion Shawn just could not contain upon seeing his bride walk up that aisle to meet him.  The two met and recited their own vows at a vintage-looking mantel adorned with fall gourds and flowers displayed on an embroidered white lace cloth.  They also participated in a touching knot tying ceremony, symbolizing the bond they’ll share for the rest of their lives.

After the ceremony concluded, photos and video were captured in the historic and pastoral setting.  Photographer, Maureen Flynn photographed this wedding and it was a pleasure to work beside her.

Tabatha and Shawn’s delightful barn reception featured classic rustic touches such as chalkboard signs, gauzy curtains and table covers and white string lights draped from the open beamed ceiling.  We were amazed by their fabulous wedding cake by Angel Cakes, LLC, which looked to be sitting on a bed of white roses!  Of course, this cake had to be cut with a firefighter’s pick head axe!

The tables in the barn were arranged all around the center weathered-wood dance floor.  This is where we witnessed some awesome, wildly enthusiastic dancing that evening! DJ Anton from Then We Danced kept this party hopping!  It was such a fun event, filled with a wide range of sentimental moments and uncontrollable laughter, and ended with a cheerful sparkler salute to the happy couple.

Congratulations to Tabatha and Shawn!  We wish you never-ending love and joy in your years ahead.
