Abby and Vincent's wedding day in Cape May was nothing short of magical!
Even though Abby and Vinnie grew up only two streets apart, they didn't actually meet until their freshman year of high school. They struck up an against-the-rules conversation in 'quiet' study hall, and with Vinnie just not being able to stop talking with Abby, it led to detention, Abby's first and only! They went their separate ways in college, but came back together afterwards, and fell more in love than ever!

Vinnie decided to propose in the lovely Victorian town they love, and where they'd later hold their wedding day. It was off-season, cold and drizzling, but Vinnie was determined to to convince Abby to walk with him from one end of the Cape May boardwalk to the other. They finally reached the cove with the romantic lighthouse view, and Vinnie told Abby he had one last Christmas present for her. That's where he proposed, with the dramatic Atlantic ocean waves as the picture-perfect backdrop, drizzle and all.
Pale blues and white were the lovely, tranquil theme colors for this early spring wedding. And these serene, coastal colors were found simply everywhere, but truly melting hearts in those fabulous flowers from A Garden Party. The watercolor blue and white bouquets and the many lush mophead hydrangeas filling the ceremony arch, and later found in abundance in table runners and centerpieces, were amazing!

Abby got ready for her wedding at her family home in Cape May. Her gorgeous strapless dress had a modern, straight neckline bodice, a basque waistline and a beautiful princess silhouette. She accessorized with elegant drop earrings and wore her hair up in a romantic, loose updo for the first half of her day. With a gauzy tulle veil and shoulder wrap for the ceremony, Abby was all set for her day. She looked like a fairy tale princess!

Abby's bridal party dressed into their long, light blue gowns in keeping with the beautiful spring theme color. And Vinnie got dressed with his groomsmen at La Mer Beachfront Resort, just a few minutes away from Abby, all dressing in classic black tuxedos for the event. We love the super springy no-socks look!
After Abby's sweet first look and gift exchange on the balcony with her father, and her bridal party's first look on the staircase, Abby was ready to travel to see Vinnie for their first look along the harbor's shoreline. The hugs and kisses were plentiful indeed! And as always, it was such a joy to work alongside Rachel Pearlman and her team as she captured the day in photos. Be sure to see the amazing wedding day images she posted on instagram!

Abby and Vinnie chose to have a tented ceremony at the Beach Club of Cape May. And it was incredible how close their tent was to the ocean! The two exchanged personal vows and rings with the waves behind them, and said their 'I do's' right there on the beach.

The couple's tented reception was then held on the pristine lawn of Congress Hall. Clear ceilings, white & blond wood checkerboard flooring and glowing market string lights overhead greeted guests once they passed through the incredible floral archway. And again, all those lovely blue and white floral centerpieces and overflowing arrangements were simply marvelous!

A fantastic, high-energy welcome speech was given by Abby's father, and then we heard awesome toasts from Abby's cousin and maid of honor and from Vinnie's brother and best man. And 'CYK' was mentioned quite a bit during this event! It stands for "Consider Yourself Kissed" and is something Abby, Vinnie and their close friends and family say to let each other know they're always loved. Definitely a fitting sentiment for this very special day.

Abby invited her father to dance that sweet father-daughter dance with her, and following was the mother-son dance, Vinnie with his lovely mom. These dances are always so touching, as parents or special persons have their own individual, special moment to celebrate the one-of-a-kind bond and love shared between them. Abby then gave a heartfelt bouquet dedication to her best friend and matron of honor, her mother, before the party ramped back up.
Abby and Vinnie had a private moment set aside to cut their blue hydrangea adorned cake from The Bake Works. Then, Abby, Vinnie and their friends and family danced all night thanks to the always hot sounds of EBE Talent's Rio! And seeing the crowd-surfing newlyweds was so much fun!

Kudos to Shawna and Kelly and the rest of the team at Ella Events Co. for creating such an enchanting wedding event from beginning to end! And what a wonderful ending it was! The day capped off in the best way, with a sparkler send off and cheers and well wishes from Abby and Vinnie's loved ones. We echo all those sentiments in wishing a lifetime of love, success and happiness to Abby and Vinnie!
