We had the honor of filming Heather and Joe’s wonderful wedding “down the shore” in Stone Harbor, NJ. They are definitely a fun couple and they chose to have their wedding reflect their laid-back, fun-loving style. Heather and Joe are without a doubt a perfect match for each other. This is a couple so made for each other that they even chose the same anniversary card for each other while they were dating! And with a nautical design flair and a gorgeous beach setting, their wedding day was absolutely perfect.
Heather and Joe both prepared for their big day at their venue, The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor, NJ. There, Heather’s sisters and wedding party had so much fun joking and reminiscing about Heather’s love of glitter! They were sure to incorporate lots of it at her wedding, a tribute to one of Heather’s passions. We delight so much in those personal touches at weddings that highlight aspects of the couple’s personality!
And before the ceremony, the two exchanged such thoughtful and touching cards to each other. We were so thrilled to be there to capture the tender emotions Heather and Joe couldn’t help but show.
The ceremony was held outdoors on the lawn at the Water Star Grille at the Reeds at Shelter Haven. The weather was gorgeous and we were so thankful that their planned outdoor events remained outdoors! The Manic Botanic once again did an unbelievable job with floral arrangements. Take a look at the stunning flower-filled urn planters at the altar. More elegant arrangements were to come inside at the reception.
Heather was so beautiful in her strapless wedding gown… complete with glittering embroidery of course! Her shoes complemented her wedding color perfectly – a rich purple shade of amethyst. With the bay as their backdrop, their ceremony couldn’t have been more lovely.
After their ceremony, photos and video were taken along the beach. Our good friend, photographer Joe Gidjunis from JPG Photography, took amazing photos of the couple and wedding party. We laughed as Heather and Joe posed comically under the beach umbrella! Those are bound to be memorable wedding photos! More dramatic shots were captured in the sand, as well as inside the reception hall.
Heather and Joe’s reception kicked off inside the Sweet Grass Ballroom at The Reeds at Shelter Haven, with its stunning bayside views and coastal chic decor. There certainly was some wild dancing on the dance floor that evening! Steve & Co. provided the emcee and DJ services for this energetic celebration. With over 30 years of experience, this company knows how to entertain!
They definitely enjoyed many shenanigans on the dance floor, on the beach and during the morning preparations. But Heather and Joe also had so many very touching moments throughout the day, including their beautiful first dance, their exciting “first look” at the dunes and their unforgettable card exchange. Heartfelt congratulations to a dynamic couple! We wish you love and laughter to last a lifetime.
