Kiss Me // Kiernan + Mark

Kiernan and Mark, sweethearts who met while they were studying at Boston College, chose the elegant Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York for their late summer wedding event. The weather was absolutely perfect, the venue exquisite and the couple and their family so sweet and such a delight to film on this special day!

Kiernan got ready at her family's estate, a beautiful home very close to their venue.

After hair and makeup, and those super-cute pj photos with her bridal party, she put on her elegant wedding gown. Her dress was strapless, had a modern, straight bodice and a lovely A-line silhouette. Eye-catching, romantic hand-painted florals were found all throughout the graceful tulle overlay. And in her chic updo, she had fastened an elegant matching cathedral length veil for the ceremony. Kiernan was the most gorgeous bride!

Another spectacular accessory Kiernan treasured was that beautiful bouquet filled with blooms in bright peach, apricot, fuchsia and various shades of light pink. It coordinated absolutely perfectly with her beautiful bridal party's mismatched gowns and bouquets. Once she was all dressed and ready, Kiernan had a first look with her bridal party and then with her father. All excited smiles, of course!

Mark dressed and prepared for the big day at Westchester Country Club. He and his groomsmen wore classic tuxedos (with Mark later changing into a white dinner jacket for the reception) and sported the latest in wedding footwear: loafers with no socks! They all looked so handsome. After dressing, they set the day off right with a toast outside the venue to celebrate!

Before the ceremony was scheduled to begin, Kiernan and Mark had a sweet first look outside at the club on this perfect afternoon. We loved how neither could stop smiling at the sight of each other! Kiernan and Mark chose to hold their ceremony at the nearby Church of the Resurrection in Rye. Kiernan arrived with her parents in a sporty Bronco, its top down on this gorgeous day. The couple had a traditional Mass led by Father Patrick Nolan, exchanged vows and rings, then kissed to make it official! All their friends and family tossed flower petals to celebrate as the couple left the church, stopping for another sweet kiss, of course!

Then it was off to the exquisite tented reception at Westchester Country Club! The whole space was just so cozy and inviting. The blush color in the table linens coordinated perfectly with the floral centerpieces and stationery. Summery, natural fabric chandeliers with delicate greenery warmed the space even more and looked amazing with the white, market string lights and light-wood checkerboard floor. It all felt so welcoming and looked so beautiful.

Kiernan and Mark entered the tent when announced and danced their very first dance together as 'husband and wife', and the very first dance of this party! Everyone joined in afterwards to get that dance floor warmed up even more for the evening.

After a wonderful blessing, Kiernan's parents took center stage and her father delivered such a well-written and heart-warming welcome speech and toast to the couple. We loved his sweet stories about Kiernan as a child and about their special time enjoying sports together. And we were touched by his words welcoming Mark into their family officially, describing him as an outstanding man with a generous soul. Mark's best men's really funny speeches, with touching moments added, were just perfect. And Kiernan's sister followed with a delightful, genuine toast to Kiernan and Mark as well, with a wonderfully insightful 'Waze' app analogy included!

Those touching (and fun!) parent dances were next, then the dance floor opened once again to all guests. And from that amazing bandstand, Starlight Music rocked the venue as they always do!

It was so fantastic to work with this sweet family and to capture the life memories that mean the very most. Kiernan and Mark's wedding was certainly a beautiful affair to remember. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
