The Greatest Adventure // Laura + Chris

We were looking forward soooo much to this wedding day! Laura and Chris had booked their wedding videography with us about two years before their event, so when their wedding event was finally just around the corner, we were so ready and completely over the moon with excitement! And the icing on the cake was that Chris's sister is our friend and former colleague, Lisa!

Laura and Chris's love story is so incredible! Even though they grew up only five minutes away from each other, they had never met. Even throughout their schooling, they passed each other for many years in the halls without ever speaking. While in college, a mutual friend formally introduced them to each other and so quickly, they became inseparable.

The couple did separate briefly on their wedding day, of course, as they prepared for their day in separate suites at the Inn at Wyndridge Farm in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. This rustic farmhouse is located on the property of their ceremony and reception venue. As they got ready, the two exchanged gifts and sweet love notes that they wrote for each other.

Chris and his best man and groomsmen dressed into their navy tuxedos, Chris with his striking white necktie, then Chris fastened those custom, initialed cufflinks, the perfect accessory to his suit. This was after they all got in a quick game of beer pong to start the day! And check out Chris's eye-catching boutonniere with its feathery detail that matched Laura's bouquet to a T.

While Laura's bridesmaids dressed into their beautiful cinnamon rose gowns, Laura put on her gorgeous wedding dress. Her Eddy K gown was all covered in lace, and featured an exciting deep-v neckline. It had a light and airy ballgown silhouette and delicate little buttons down the back. And she was sure to have her special New Jersey State Police patch sewn inside of her bridal gown.

After she was all dressed and ready for the big day, Laura's father came into her room and saw 'daddy's little girl' for the first time in her wedding gown. It really pulled on our heartstrings, just like when Laura and Chris met up next at the very unique, open-air chapel for their exciting first look! They were so overjoyed at the sight of each other! And Laura had a surprise for Chris as well, a beautiful song she wrote and recorded just for him.

Another fantastic photo shoot took place outside their venue by Brianna Wibur Photography, starting with Laura and Chris's first look and continuing on with gorgeous outdoor photos of the couple and their wedding party. It's always so wonderful to have these totally fun and purely stress-free moments captured before the formal ceremony is set to begin.

Laura and Chris's wedding ceremony took place essentially outdoors there beside those rustic chapel doors at Wyndridge Farm. It was such a beautiful, personal ceremony, officiated by a good family friend. The two recited their vows, exchanged rings and were officially proclaimed 'husband and wife'!

All the signage, décor, and florals brought in for Laura and Chris's event had a rustic chic feel in very soothing, neutral colors. And those lush flowers in blush, ivory and cinnamon from Laura's uncle, Al, were so boho exquisite! We loved the feathery bleached ferns and unique fountain grass accents most of all.

bride and groom dancing their first dance at the wedding reception

Fun choreographed introductions of the wedding party took place in the restored rustic barn for the reception, which led right into the couple's first dance. Immediately afterwards were those touching parent dances, Laura with her father then Chris with his mom.

We heard a fun, but also sentimental, welcome speech from Laura's mother, then toasts from Laura's maid of honor and from Chris's best man. They were so well-written and delivered beautifully. And you could feel the genuine love they all have for Laura and Chris and their pure joy on this eagerly anticipated, special day.

After dinner, the Penny's Ice Cream Truck parked outside the venue to share its sweet treats with all the guests! And of course, the scrumptious cake from House of Clarendon, complete with a replica of their sweet pup, was cut, as Laura and Chris took a break from the dance floor for a taste. Afterwards, they stepped outside for romantic photos at sunset.

But the party continued on all evening as DJ Korey from Baltimore's Premier Event Solutions spun the tunes that kept everyone out on the dance floor! What a fantastic celebration this was and we were so overjoyed and honored to be there to join in!

We absolutely loved everything about this day, from the excitement of our first visit to the gorgeous Wyndridge Farm to the honor of having the opportunity to film such a super sweet couple and their wonderful family. Congratulations and all our best wishes for today and always to Laura and Chris!
