One must agree that Nancy and Umberto were destined to be together. They first met in pre-school and then continued on to first and second grade together. Years later as adults, they met again at their church and reconnected. Together since that fateful day three years ago, the two joined in marriage in a beautiful and traditional celebration as the summer was beginning to wind down.
Nancy and her bridesmaids started the day with makeup and hair by Salon Fabrojaé and Douglas Arthur Salon and got dressed at her family’s home in Vineland, NJ while Umberto prepared at his house in Pittsgrove. We loved the light champagne colored vest and formal cravat both in a subtle filagree pattern that Umberto wore with his classic black tuxedo. A very dapper groom indeed! And his sharp-dressed groomsmen wore coordinating vests and ties in a similar color.
Nancy was such a gorgeous bride in her lovely trumpet silhouetted wedding gown, which featured thin cap sleeves and delicate embroidery and beading throughout. We loved the hint of sparkle her dress featured. In her long hair, Nancy wore a long flowing veil and she carried a gorgeous lush, white cascading bouquet. Her beautiful bridesmaids wore matching bright cobalt gowns and carried smaller matching white bouquets, each with a hint of blue from Martine’s Countryside Florist.
The two decided to skip a first look so their first glimpse of each other would be at their church. So off we traveled to Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton, NJ for their traditional Catholic ceremony with a full Mass. Father Ariel Hernandez had such lovely words to say about Nancy and Umberto whom he knows quite well (and helped bring together!). After delivering the mass, Nancy and Umberto recited their traditional vows and were pronounced ‘husband and wife’!
We were so happy to be filming that day alongside our friend, the wonderfully talented Ron Soliman and his terrific assistant (and wife) Bless! After formal photos at the church, we visited Umberto’s family business, Bifulco Farms, to film while more fun photos of the bridal party were taken. Nancy and Umberto chose to hold their reception at the glamorous Merion in Cinnaminson. It was certainly a fun and festive celebration of their new marriage and of the love that Nancy and Umberto share. We especially loved their entrance as they ducked under the arms of their parents and bridal party! Their perfectly choreographed first dance was also so touching and so special, as was their beautiful dances with their parents. The incredible wedding band, Mirage Music, definitely kept the party going strong and the guests dancing all evening!
What a fantastic wedding this was, a wedding event that had a special focus on faith and on the support and devotion of their large and loving family. And it was such a joy to work with Nancy and Umberto! A heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds!
