Theirs was such a wonderful June wedding day! Kate and JJ have actually been married for a few years now and the couple has two beautiful children together. This very special day was lovingly planned to re-affirm their vows and to celebrate their marriage, and their enduring love for each other.
JJ's family flew in from Europe to be there to celebrate this splendid event. And lots more family and friends joined in the celebration as well! Kate's best friend Vanessa and her husband Daniel is a sweet couple we filmed years ago, and it was so fantastic to see them again!
The couple of honor got ready in separate suites at the Hyatt House Jersey City. JJ dressed into his classic black tuxedo with his friends around him, helping him get ready and enjoying their time together.
Kate wore a gorgeous strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and a graceful ball gown silhouette. She accentuated her bridal attire with a long veil for the ceremony and those amazing emerald green drop earrings And she carried a full ivory floral bouquet accented with soft, sage greenery.
Kate and JJ held their ceremony and reception at Liberty House Restaurant and Events in Jersey City, New Jersey. We absolutely love this elegant venue, situated near the Statue of Liberty and right across the river from Lower Manhattan. Liberty House is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, with one of the most magnificent views in the world.
The adorable flower girls and ring bearers charmed Kate and JJ's guests as they entered the outdoor space for the ceremony. Then, Kate appeared at the end of the aisle. And even though the two are already 'husband and wife', JJ still had that beautiful, emotional response to seeing his bride for the first time on their wedding day. The couple re-affirmed their love and devotion with beautifully written, personal vows during their ceremony.
Kate and JJ's wedding day photo shoot took place onsite with Carly Landolt Photography, and it was a pleasure to work with her and with her team. The couple was so relaxed and carefree as photos were taken inside their venue and outside on this beautiful day. And you couldn't ask for a more dramatic landscape than the city of New York!
Guests mingled outside on the patio during the cocktail hour, again with the stunning backdrop of the New York City skyline. Then, Kate changed into a second amazing strapless gown for the reception, and the couple's entrance was announced to the cheers of everyone in attendance! Kate and JJ danced a romantic first dance on the dance floor to kick off the evening's formal events.
During dinner, we heard toasts from Vanessa and from JJ's best friend, Mark, and from Andrea, JJ's sister. We especially loved how Vanessa said we should live each day like it's the best day of your life, and today was the best day... until tomorrow!
Later in the evening, Kate and JJ cut their delightful cake. Then the music and dancing continued all evening! And what a fabulous party it was! Did we even see 'the worm'?
Congratulations and best wishes to Kate and JJ for the married years they've already shared, and the many more to come. May their days ahead continue to be filled with love and lasting joy!
