Yours Forever // Maura + Ryan

About eight months before this wedding event, we were contacted by Lauren Heilman of Exquisite Events who wanted to know if we were available for the wedding date of her lovely clients. We were so happy that we had that weekend available and soon afterwards, we were connected with Maura and Ryan. What a pleasure it was to speak with Maura, Ryan and with Maura’s mother! We knew already that this was going to be an incredible wedding event. So we traveled up to Newport, Rhode Island in early fall for Maura and Ryan's fabulous wedding day!

Maura and Ryan’s love story began when her brother asked her if she wanted to meet a mutual friend’s friend. She said, ‘sure!’ and it was magic right away. Maura especially knew Ryan was ‘the one’ when she watched him interacting with her family. He fit in immediately and her family just loves him! We could see the love and admiration is truly reciprocal throughout this wedding.

Maura and Ryan began their wedding day preparations at the historic Hotel Viking in Newport. The bridal party was so excited and had so much fun in their suites as they enjoyed toasting to the couple and getting ready for the day. We especially loved the bridesmaids’ matching floral robes! Their long matching dresses were also so lovely, along with their lush bouquets filled with blooms in complementing shades of blush and ivory from Stoneblossom Floral & Event Design.

The guys savored some football and beer as they dressed into their classic black tuxedos. And before heading to the church, they exchanged gifts and each read aloud the most beautiful love notes they wrote for each other.

It was then time to finish their preparations and as Ryan and his groomsmen left for the church via trolley, Maura changed into her wedding gown. She was such an absolutely radiant bride! Her dress featured an allover lace design with a strapless sweetheart neckline accented with a pretty white sash. She accessorized with splendid pearl accessories and was sure to incorporate something blue as well, as her monogram was sewn in blue on the lining of the beautiful gown. Once her lace-trimmed cathedral veil was attached, she was ready for her ceremony. A wonderfully touching moment came next as her father arrived to see his beautiful daughter for the first time in her gown.

Maura and her father traveled in a vintage Packard to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for their ceremony. Ryan’s face simply lit up as he received his first look at his gorgeous bride as she walked up the aisle on the arm of her father. They spoke their traditional vows and said ‘I Do!’ to their lifetime of love.

After their formal photo session, we headed to their reception. Maura and Ryan were announced and danced a spirited first dance together as newlyweds, followed shortly afterwards by emotional parent dances. All of Maura and Ryan’s friends and family enjoyed a grand tented reception on this beautiful evening. We thoroughly enjoyed all of their thoughtful (and funny!) toasts and were treated to terrific dancing (including some break dancing!) as Faze 4 rocked the house.

Guests also enjoyed hamming it up in the VW photo booth and participating in a festive sparkler send-off to Maura and Ryan as they departed the venue by boat. In addition, working with Lauren Heilman and the team at Exquisite Events was wonderful and the organization and thoughtful attention to detail helped lead to the overwhelming success of this wedding event.

Maura and Ryan are so kindhearted and were a true delight to film on their special day. May this wonderful beginning be just the start of an amazing journey filled with love and happiness.
