The Meaning of Love // Tiffany and Jeffrey

Tiffany and Jeffrey’s wedding event was such a romantic, special celebration, filled with so many traditions and so much fun!  Both Tiffany and Jeffrey have very large families and were so thrilled that so many were able to travel to be with them to witness their marriage and celebrate with them, some coming from as far away as the Philippines.

We also loved how their cute little dogs, Gizmo and Max, simply had to be a part of the wedding day, getting dressed up and watching the pre-wedding preparations with the bridal party, taking part in their photo shoots and later joining in the celebration at the reception!

Tiffany and Jeffrey met in college after being introduced at a conference by a mutual friend.  They bonded over both their shared interests and friends and before long, Jeffrey was asking Tiffany out on an official first date!  Their relationship grew, as Tiffany stood right by and supported Jeffrey though many years of academic studies and training.  He wrote to her in his wedding day love note that she is his “greatest cheerleader and greatest source of joy”.  And Tiffany loves the wonderful adventures she’s had already with Jeffrey… he makes her laugh and loves her unconditionally.  We know their love will continue to grow as they add beautiful and exciting chapters to their life together.

Tiffany and Jeffrey got ready for their big day in separate rooms at Hotel Monaco, the luxe hotel in which their reception would later be held as well.  Tiffany’s bridesmaids wore coordinating lavender chiffon gowns and carried beautiful bouquets from Carl Alan Floral Designs in white and watercolor shades of rose and lavender.  The groomsmen all wore matching black tuxedos with neckties while Jeffrey stood apart from them wearing a classic bow tie with his tux.  They all looked so dapper!

Tiffany’s mother, sister and second maid of honor helped her into her gorgeous strapless A-line silhouetted gown, all covered in delicate lace and accessorized with a sparkling beaded sash.  She wore her hair up, with a long, flowing veil attached to the back, and the lush bridal bouquet she carried was overflowing with white blooms, accented with muted rose and silver dusty miller.  Tiffany was an absolutely stunning bride!  We loved the apropos “Wow!” exclaimed by Tiffany’s father as he saw her for the first time that day in her beautiful wedding dress!  She then presented him with a special gift, an embroidered handkerchief with a lovely poem.

Then Tiffany shared an emotional first look with Jeffrey in the Thomas Jefferson Garden across the street from the hotel.  Jeffrey could hardly contain his tears at the sight of his bride in those precious moments before they would become husband and wife.

Then it was time for us to travel to the church! The wedding party boarded a trolley to take them to St. Augustine Church for the ceremony.  Once again, we insist that the first look doesn’t spoil the first sight at the aisle, because Tiffany and Jeffrey were so emotional at this moment.

Their beautiful unplugged wedding ceremony included several Filipino traditions such the Coin Bearer presenting the Unity Coins, the knotted cord symbolizing Tiffany and Jeffrey’s bond and the Couple’s Veil ceremony, an allegorical gesture which symbolizes the two being joined and “clothed as one” in unity.  After Father Michael de Leon’s wonderful homily, they recited traditional vows and were pronounced as Mr. and Mrs.! As they left the church, Tiffany and Jeffrey were greeted by their guests with a fun bubble exit!

Our good friends from Two Suits and a Dress were so great to work with during Tiffany and Jeffrey’s photo shoots around the city’s historic sites.  Everyone had a ton of fun capturing those lighthearted, in addition to the traditional, formal photos after the ceremony.  And we especially loved filming Tiffany and Jeffrey as they walked hand in hand in the park on this lovely spring day.

Hotel Monaco was decorated so wonderfully for this celebration, with intriguing, tall water filled vases containing flowers and floating candles.  The cocktail hour took place in the open air of the picturesque Stratus Rooftop Lounge where the bride and groom had the opportunity to mingle and chat with their guests.  Then it was on to their fabulous reception, where Tiffany and Jeffrey were introduced, then danced their first romantic dance together as husband and wife. The bridal party joined them at the end and kicked off the evening’s celebration!

And this celebration was fantastic!  Barcelona, from EBE Talent, totally rocked the house and guests just couldn’t keep from singing and dancing on that dance floor all night!  What a perfect wedding and a fantastic celebration of two very special people.

Congratulations and all our best wishes to Tiffany and Jeffrey!
