The Happiest Place // Disney Destination Weddings

Destination weddings aren’t for everyone. You have to be willing and able to narrow your wedding guest list down to a fraction of your friends and family. And you have to know: are they going to be up for the travel to and from your faraway wedding location? And can they swing it financially? But if a vacation destination wedding is in your dreams and you can make it work in real life, we say go for it!
If you’re like many couples who share a love of all things Disney, you’re already looking for ways to add Disney touches into your wedding to make it as magical as Cinderella’s ball. You can theme your wedding to a Disney film or incorporate subtle character references for a touch of whimsy. But why not take your wedding directly to the “Most Magical Place on Earth?”

Worried about your wedding looking like a theme park attraction? Don’t be! Disney destination weddings are definitely not all Mickey Mouse. In fact, Disney has partnered in the past with celebrity wedding planner/fashion designer, David Tutera, as well as with Kleinfeld Bridal for their Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum Collection, fashion designer Kirstie Kelly and the designer label Paolo Sebastian.
And Allure Bridals has featured a Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection for the past five years, with 24 styles inspired by classic Disney princesses (and a villain!) in their 2025 collection. So many Disney fashions and events have reflected a tasteful elegance and luxurious style. And you can always choose to add or remove as many “Disneyesque” items from your wedding as you’d like.
There are four available Disney destinations from which to choose: Florida, California, Hawaii or their cruise line. And you'll find so many exciting and award-winning venues in each setting (there are 49 wedding locations in Florida alone!). Choose a New England-style yacht club’s gazebo or a serene, Japanese maple filled Asian garden… or a replica old world Italian village or even the actual Hawaiian island of O’ahu. With all these magical options, you can certainly have the fairy tale wedding of your dreams.

Disney’s official wedding division is called Disney Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons and Disney wedding specialists are on staff to help you create your custom wedding package. Each wedding event is held to an event minimum expenditure, which is individually determined by the ceremony venue, day of the week and time of day. And Disney Wedding Services, such as floral, décor, food, photography/videography, entertainment and transportation, can be added to meet the expenditure minimum for your event.

Years ago, Disney Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons had offered wedding packages in three price categories (Memories, Escape and Wishes) however, now each wedding is priced individually and built as a custom wedding package. And each location and venue has different requirements and pricing. For example, a ceremony at Walt Disney World’s Germany Courtyard in Epcot is held only early in the morning (before regular park opening) and can accommodate up to 50 guests, plus the couple. It’s in the event minimum category of $18,000-$20,000, including a ceremony venue fee of $7,500.

And recently, Disney announced rare discounts offered for the summer of 2026. Couples booking wedding and vow-renewals for select Walt Disney World resort venues for dates between June 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 have several special offers to choose from, including 50% off the ceremony fee for some locations!
Most locations and venues require couples to use professionals from their own Disney Wedding Services, however at their ballroom venue locations in Florida, you’re not forced to use only Disney vendors. For amenities including flowers, décor and entertainment, in many cases as long as you’ve met your minimum expenditure, you may use the vendor of your choice. And for photo and video, Disney allows outside vendors in locations other than Magic Kingdom in Florida, for their cruise line weddings and for an additional fee at their Hawai'i wedding events (hint, hint!).
