Having A Ball // Bridal Ball Gowns

Beautiful ball gowns are enjoying another heyday! From large, layered skirts to all-out poofs, the more volume, the better!

Slip dresses and minimalistic designs were abundant in 2022, but designer collections overflowing with ball gowns prove that this silhouette, and fuller A-line wedding dresses, will be in high demand this year. There's so many to highlight, but just check out these gorgeous examples... the Luca and Ada from Amsale are simply stunning. And Positano and Dorothea from Monique Lhuillier are just two amazing ball gowns from her spring 2023 collection!

Aside from being simply gorgeous and often surprisingly easy in which to move, a ball gown guarantees that you'll make a dramatic entrance on your wedding day. Although they're terrific choices for any style of wedding event, beautiful ball gowns are favored for more formal, grand evening wedding affairs. And the best part is that they look fabulous on every body type.

Opulence, glamour and maximalism are definitely in this year. So we expect to see even more embellishments on ball gowns, like 3D floral appliqués and fanciful embroidery. Ruffled tiers are all the rage again and high-low hemlines are a popular, unique twist for ball gowns. Puff sleeves, asymmetrical bodices and long trains will also grace many of these beautiful ball gowns.

Very few women have other opportunities to wear a ball gown, so why not choose one for what will probably be the most formal and glamorous event of your lifetime? Be the 'belle of the ball'!

We have tons of examples of our own from beautiful brides that chose gorgeous ball gowns for their big day! Francesca wore the most amazing ball gown for her wedding at the Roslyn Country Club. It was a spectacular Monique Lhuillier gown with a subtle ball gown silhouette, spaghetti straps, a v-neckline and pretty floral lace appliqués.

Ashley chose a fantastic ball gown to wear at her Crystal Plaza wedding event. It featured a very full skirt and sophisticated embroidery, so beautiful and romantic!

And at one of our most favorite winter weddings at the Park Savoy Estate, Jennifer wore a gorgeous ball gown with floral lace illusion long sleeves and a full, multi-tiered skirt. So elegant!
