What a beautiful wedding this was, and a wonderful way for us to kick off the 2023 wedding season!
Stephanie and Colin were high school sweethearts, just a year apart in school. After years of being together, growing in their relationship, Colin knew it was time to pop the question to the love of his life!
In the summer of 2021, just before Stephanie's birthday, Colin took her to a restaurant for a special dinner right on the beach in Cape May, NJ. Afterwards, he was sure to steer her towards the exit door that led directly to the sand. After their romantic walk down to the surf, Colin asked Stephanie to marry him. And she said 'yes', of course! Colin had also arranged for both their families and their friends to be there at her parents' beach house to celebrate the wonderful news!
We joined Stephanie and Colin as they got ready for their wedding day at Homewood Suites in Hamilton, New Jersey. Stephanie had her hair and makeup perfected by Gloss Studio there, and opted to dress into her gown a little bit later at the venue. But first, she read her beautiful love note from Colin and opened her thoughtful wedding gift from him. She also had gifts for her parents to thank them for their love and support on this special day and throughout her life.
The guys got ready at the hotel before heading over to the venue for additional photographs (and had some fun playing pool, too!). Colin anxiously awaited Stephanie's arrival too, as they would be sharing an exciting first look there very soon!
Stephanie traveled to their venue, The Hamilton Manor, and dressed into her gorgeous wedding gown. Her dress had a beautiful sweetheart neckline with asymmetrical ruching in the bodice, delicate spaghetti straps and a fantastic mermaid silhouette. Absolutely beautiful!
The two then shared a very touching first look outside on the grounds at The Hamilton Manor. It was so sweet how Colin couldn't contain his joy at the sight of his bride! This was followed by a photo session by Sam and her team at Mountain Peak Studios. It was so wonderful to meet this talented photography team and work alongside them for this fantastic wedding event.
Then, it was time for the ceremony to begin in the newly renovated rustic barn. Bloomers Wedding Floral Design decorated the mantel behind the couple beautifully with a floral garland in pink, burgundy and ivory and cozy lanterns filled with fairy string lights lined the aisle. Stephanie and Colin recited their personal vows to each other, exchanged rings and shared a tender kiss after they were pronounced 'husband and wife'!
When the ceremony concluded, it was time to party! The wedding party was introduced to all the guests as they entered the Grand Ballroom, then the newlyweds shared their first dance as a married couple and the first dance of the night. Stephanie then danced with her father and Colin with his mother. They were both sweet, and Stephanie's special dance with her father, complete with the sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughn, was definitely an exciting show-stopper, too! These dances are always so heartwarming.
And speaking of heartwarming, such heartfelt toasts followed from Stephanie's father, from Colin's best man and from the bride's maid of honor. You could really feel just how much love and respect they have for the couple and how full of joy they were to be there with them on this special day.
Pure Event Group got everyone out on the dance floor and kept them there all night! And what a fantastic, fun-loving crowd this was! Stephanie and Colin took a break from dancing just to cut their amazing four-tiered cake from Cocos Cakery.
Stephanie and Colin's wedding day was such an incredible experience and it was so fantastic to work with such a sweet couple and family. Setting a very high bar, it was the absolute perfect way for us to begin a new year of beautiful wedding days. Congratulations to Stephanie and Colin!
