Nichole and Alex had the ultimate wedding on the beach in Cape May, NJ! There were so many perfect touches that integrated the seaside motif all throughout their wedding event. With the beautiful bridesmaids in a bright aqua and palm trees alongside the wedding ceremony pergola, the couple didn’t miss any opportunity to fully immerse us into the seashore theme!
Shoes were optional for the wedding party and guests as they walked from the boardwalk to their places for the ceremony. Wow, Nichole and Alex and their guests all made walking in the sand, not always an easy feat, look effortless! Perhaps those complimentary flip-flops helped!
Nichole was gorgeous in her wedding gown, complete with delicate beading and a coordinating aqua sash.  An exquisite brooch bouquet was made by Nichole’s mother for the ceremony. And we absolutely loved the tiny jeweled starfish in Nichole’s hair! Alex’s wardrobe, from his linen suit down to his sandals, also fit in so perfectly with the beach wedding.
Before the ceremony began, Nichole and Alex traveled by trolley to the Cape May Lighthouse for a first look and photographs. Beautiful photos were taken at the lighthouse and on the beach by Meyer Photography. And we enjoyed filming Nichole and Alex so much as they strolled along the shore and embraced on the sun-bleached boards. They make such a wonderful couple… and truly were such a joy to get to know!
During their wedding ceremony, Nichole and Alex participated in a sand ceremony, a custom symbolizing their two separate lives joining together on this day. The grains of sand, once layered in the glass, can never again be separated. It’s a beautiful metaphor for their new life together in marriage. Then to bring that element of fun to the ceremony, the guests tossed little beach balls in the air as the couple proceeded back up the aisle!
Their reception followed directly across Beach Avenue at The Grand Hotel. Take a look at the wonderful centerpieces – sand-filled baskets adorned with starfish, seashells and twinkling lights. So apropos! Cape Winds Florist also filled the stately Penthouse Ballroom with gorgeous florals.  And DJ Harry Elliott got the party rolling with lively music and entertainment!
Nichole and Alex’s wedding was genuinely a delight to film, from preparations that afternoon to the celebrations at the hotel that evening. Congratulations to the newlyweds! May this be just the start to an exciting life together, abundant in love, success and happiness.
