We were so happy when Jean, a super-sweet mother of the groom, gave us a call one day to see if we were available for her son’s wedding date. We remembered Jean and her family from her daughter’s wedding years ago and were delighted to hear they wanted to have us film her son’s and her soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s wedding event! We were so thrilled that we were available and as the months ticked by, we were getting more and more excited to be filming Katie and Mark’s beautiful wedding day!
The couple’s mid-July wedding had such a summery, laid-back and wonderfully outdoorsy vibe! It had many rustic touches, yet was so elegant and romantic. The entire event was held at Normandy Farm Hotel in Blue Bell, PA. This outstanding venue has a peaceful, pastoral atmosphere and even features two historic silos! It was the perfect location for a country chic wedding.
Katie and Mark both got ready in separate rooms at the historic Normandy Farm Hotel. Katie’s bridesmaids wore lovely pastel dresses, perfect for a summer wedding. Along with those eye-catching argyle socks, Mark wore a fantastic blue suit with a bow tie, as did his groomsmen sans jackets.
Katie’s amazing gown featured long lace sleeves, a beautiful sweetheart neckline and flowing A-line silhouette. We were wowed by her dress’s unbelievably gorgeous open back design as well! Katie carried a full, white baby’s breath bouquet from Willow & Thistle that was dripping with greenery. Her hair was worn down around her shoulders with a lovely crown braid and delicate flowers framing the back of her long, wavy hair. She was such a gorgeous bride!
Once they were dressed and all ready for this special day’s events, the two had a first look there outside on the terrace at Normandy Farm Hotel. We simply love first looks because there’s no holding back those genuine emotions. It’s always one of the most touching moments of the day. And Katie and Mark’s first look was definitely filled with heartfelt love, but also with laughter and fun! Pure joy!
Afterwards, we really enjoyed their photo session by the team at Alyssa Bunton Photography, which took place there on the idyllic grounds of their venue. Look at the guys especially, having so much fun with the shoot!
On the arm of her father, Katie walked down the aisle that was lined with delicate white petals, courtesy of her adorable flower girls and sisters. Pastor Rick Eisenhart provided a wonderful sermon, then led the couple in their recitation of their vows to each other. It was now official!
Then, their fantastic reception kicked off in the Silos Ballroom. We loved the toasts from Katie’s maid of honor and one of her sisters (which even included a drum rimshot!) and from Mark’s best man, which had the whole room laughing and ‘aww’ing too.
Then, those beautiful parent dances were held on the dance floor before it was opened up to all their guests. Steve Croce of Silver Sound Entertainment provided the awesome professional DJ services and music that kept the dance floor packed all evening and everyone laughing and singing along. And take a look at that beautiful and delectable birch bark inspired cake from the venue!
The entire wedding was a huge success, and as aptly stated in the toast given by Mark’s best friend, if they can make such a beautiful event happen in just seven months, imagine what they will accomplish in their lifetime together. Congratulations to Katie and Mark!
