Now + Forever // Maddie + Andrew

Maddie and Andrew met during orientation as college freshmen floormates.  And what started as a friendship… sharing meals, doing homework together, learning how to play squash… turned into what they both knew was something more after an amazing evening spent dancing the night away.

And we love the iconic place that Andrew chose to propose!  The two were traveling out west and visiting many beautiful National Parks in Arizona and Utah, the Grand Canyon, of course, being included in the adventure.  On their last day, they woke early to trek the Bright Angel Trail and after hiking about two or three miles into the canyon, they stopped for snacks and photos.  Andrew set the timer on his phone’s camera and ran over to get into a good spot for their photo together.  And as he did, he got down on one knee and captured the moment has asked Maddie to be his forever.

As Maddie and Andrew got ready for their wedding, they took some time out of their busy morning to exchange cards.  They had each written such loving notes for each other and we were so happy that they read them for us.  We know they’ll treasure having that moment forever captured in their wedding film.

Then they finished getting dressed for the big day.  Maddie couldn’t have been a more beautiful bride!  She wore a glittery embossed floral lace Martina Liana gown with an exciting deep V-neckline and lovely ballgown silhouette.  The open back design and delicate buttons added such a graceful touch.  She wore her hair up in a chic, modern style, fastened with a sparkling brooch in back and a long veil for the ceremony.  Stunning!

Andrew and his groomsmen dressed into their matching classic black tuxedos, all looking so dapper on this very special day!  Andrew was sure to wear his grandfather’s engraved ring as well.  And Maddie’s bridal party all looked so beautiful in their matching, long navy gowns.

Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, we traveled to East County Reserve where Maddie and Andrew would have their first look.  Compliments and kisses ensued!  This was followed by a photo shoot with the couple and their wedding party with the incomparable Paul Francis Photography!  We absolutely adore working with Paul and his assistant and we could see the wedding party did, too!

Maddie and Andrew’s ceremony and reception both took place at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, New Jersey.  We love this fantastic venue, with its Frank Lloyd Wright inspired stone, wood and steel architecture and its picturesque mountainside setting.  The inside space is so warm and inviting, with enormous drum chandeliers suspended from the ceiling, pleasing neutral décor and creamy slate floors.

Maddie walked down the aisle for the ceremony at the Stone House on the arm of her father.  We could hardly keep a dry eye when we saw how overcome with emotion Andrew was at the sight of his bride.  It was so sweet!  Maddie’s brother officiated their ceremony, leading the couple in reciting their personalized vows.  Soon, they were kissing for the first time as the “newly minted” ‘Mr. & Mrs.’!

The Grand Ballroom’s reception space was decorated so beautifully by Jardiniere Fine Flowers with floral centerpieces in ivory and blue.  Meaningful family photos were on display on the tables.  And the wedding party’s head table was dressed with flickering candles in hurricane vases and a lovely garland filled with greenery and ivory blooms.

The formal introductions were made, which led into Maddie and Andrew’s first very romantic dance together.  After their guests had fun out on the dance floor too, everyone was seated for the blessing.  Then Maddie’s father gave a beautiful speech, welcoming Andrew and his family into theirs, and toast to the couple.

Touching parent dances followed and another fun dance set was announced before entrées were served.  We were then treated to beautiful toasts from Maddie’s twin sister, her maid of honor and from Andrew’s best man.  We loved how Maddie’s sister described her as her inspiration and knows that she will continue to inspire Andrew also, and for the rest of their lives.

While guests had a blast dancing to the hip sounds of Starlight Music’s Rock & Soul, Maddie and Andrew stepped aside to cut their delectable cake from Rudy’s Pastry Shop.  And before the evening came to an end, a special sparkler send off was given to the newlyweds!

This was such a spectacular wedding and we were so blessed to be a part of capturing it for Maddie and Andrew.  We send them our best wishes as they embark on their new journey together.
