Meant To Be // Molly + John

We had such a great time filming Molly's sister, Trisha's, wedding three years earlier when she married Evan, and were super excited to be there for Molly and John's wedding, too! And of course, it did not disappoint!
Molly and John met at a mutual friend's birthday party several years ago. But Molly later actually found a photo of herself and her friend that had been taken earlier and John was there, too, in the background! We know Molly and John were just meant to be together.
Molly's grandparents own a home in Ocean City, New Jersey, and she and John love to stay there often, even in the off-season. Every winter, the town puts Christmas trees along the beach and each year, Molly and John make sure to go see them. When they visited in December 2023, John surprised Molly with his proposal at the last tree, which also happened to be located at the beach closest to her grandparents' house. After she said 'yes!', Molly's sister, her husband and her dog all came running out to cheer and make some noise!

With Molly and her sister, Trisha, being very close, it was extra special to have her there for the proposal. That evening, they met with Molly's parents back in Philadelphia and went out to celebrate the news at a nearby bar. But as another surprise to Molly, her family and friends were already there waiting to share in the joy! Next came all the many months of fun wedding planning and preparation.

Molly got ready on the morning of her wedding at her home in Holland, Pennsylvania. With her sister helping as her matron of honor, she prepared for her day with her mother, aunt, cousin and grandmother as well. It was so nice to have a small wedding party as it really gave their day such an intimate feel. And it was so special to have Molly's closest family there with her as she dressed and accessorized for her event. Molly looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day.

Meanwhile at the Philadelphia hotel, Canopy by Hilton, John and his best man, along with a few more close friends, enjoyed spending time together as they got dressed and ready. Once they were all set, they traveled to the church for the big moment.

The lovely, traditional marriage ceremony took place at St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland. Molly was escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father to meet John at the altar. It was sweet to see just how overcome with emotion both John and Molly's father were during that walk. The two recited their traditional vows, exchanged rings and a kiss at the end sealed it: the two were officially 'Mr. & Mrs.'!

After the ceremony, Carmela Scalabrino Photography took fantastic photos at the church, then again at the couple's reception venue. It was wonderful to meet and work alongside her and her assistant for Molly and John's wedding event.
Molly and John chose Cescaphe's Tendenza to host their beautiful reception. It had been a little while since we've filmed here, and we were so excited to be back again. Beautiful Blooms adorned the elegant ballroom with single white blooms and flickering candlelight for this black and white themed wedding and the décor was absolutely exquisite.

Molly and John were introduced and then walked out to the middle of the dance floor for their lovely first dance. They made it all look absolutely effortless. And at the end of their dance, all their guests were invited to join them!
Afterwards were touching toasts from Molly's sister and John's best man and a sweet formal dance as Molly danced with her father. At the end of the formal part of their event, Molly and John gave beautiful speeches as well, thanking their friends and family for being there with them and toasting each other, with Molly giving a special thank you to her mother before sharing a dance with her as well on this wonderful evening.

Then, the party really ramped up again as the Slippery Band rocked the house and dancing continued for the rest of the evening! Everyone had so much fun, and we know they'll all treasure incredible memories made at this fantastic wedding event.
Molly and John's was our last wedding of the season and it really was the perfect way for us to end a wonderful year. We wish all the best to this sweet couple, for today and in all their years ahead. Congratulations to Molly and John!
