Happily Ever After // Laura + Christopher

Laura and Chris met the way so many couples meet today, through an online dating site. And as fate would have it, it was Chris's very first time on the site! It just goes to show that often, the 'first time's a charm'!

That wasn't the case with Chris's proposal, however. He had been attempting to propose to Laura for many weeks, but the weather just wasn't cooperating with his plans as it rained almost every weekend. Finally, Father's Day weekend's weather was looking great! Both Laura and Chris's parents were in town for the holiday, so they had a special dinner planned. As they headed up to the rooftop for drinks, Laura and Chris became the only two remaining in the apartment. That's when Chris got down on one knee and asked Laura to be his wife. Of course, she said 'yes!' Then, they went up to the roof and celebrated the doubly-special occasion with their families!

We were so happy and ready to celebrate when Laura and Chris's wedding day arrived during the long 4th of July holiday weekend. And this time, the weather cooperated beautifully for the couple! They got ready for their day and later held their reception at the Nassau Inn, a historic hotel just across the street from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.

Laura dressed into her beautiful satin Jenny Yoo wedding gown with its minimalistic, slip dress styling. It had delicate spaghetti straps, a very subtle flare silhouette with its back flounce seam and a dramatic plunging v-neckline. Her jewelry was absolutely charming and she also accessorized with a striking, sparkling headband in her hair. Absolutely stunning! We were so thrilled to be to see Laura's father's first look at his beautiful daughter in her gown next, such a touching moment.

After those sweet photos in their robes, Laura's bridal party dressed into lightweight and summery, matching dresses with spaghetti straps that coordinated with Laura's lovely gown. And they carried beautiful bouquets from Dahlia Floral & Event Design in ivory, with a touch of blush to accent.

Meanwhile, Chris got ready in another one of the luxurious suites in Nassau Inn. He dressed into a classic black tuxedo, with help from his father and brother, for this very formal event, looking so handsome indeed!

The couple decided to skip a first look and headed straight to the church for the ceremony. Their traditional marriage ceremony was held in the stately, historic church of St. Paul Parish in Princeton. Their officiant performed the wedding Mass, then led them in the exchange of traditional vows and rings before the two were pronounced as 'husband and wife'.

And on this gorgeous summer day, we were over the moon to be filming alongside Paul Francis Photography once again, who captured this beautiful wedding in photos. The photo shoots with the couple and their wedding party took place at various locations on the gorgeous, historic campus of Princeton University.

Laura and Chris's reception was tented on the grounds of the inn. And it really was a wonderful day for an outdoor wedding. The couple entered the space and danced a wonderfully choreographed first dance... complete with a perfect lift!

We were treated to heartfelt toasts from Laura's father, from her sister and maid of honor and from Chris's sister and his brother, who served as his best man. The sibling's speeches highlighting the current and past lives of their sister and brother were sweet, but also so funny! Trust us, as they even ended with the iconic Christmas tune from Wham!

Then, it was time to celebrate. And celebrate they did! That dance floor was so crowded with guests all night long! EBE Talent brought the music that kept everyone out there having a ball and kept the town of Princeton awake! It was such a fun event and a fantastic party.

We're wishing all the best today and forever to Laura and Chris! Congratulations!
