It was touch and go there when Jessica reached out to inquire about videography for her wedding date. She said her fiance, Joey, is in the reserves and they never knew if or when he would be deployed. Joey's proposal to Jessica actually came in February 2022 when he thought he was going to be deployed very soon afterwards, and proposed just a few days later. But his orders kept getting pushed back and we're happy that he didn't get sent overseas. And their wedding date came just as planned!
Jessica and Joey got ready for their day in the Cambria Hotel, a luxury hotel very close to their wedding venue. The couple took some time away from their preparations to open their gifts for each other and to read the personal vows they exchanged.
Joey dressed into his black tux and tie with his best men by his side, helping with his jacket and cuff links. They all looked fantastic and you could see how happy and excited Joey was for this day!
The girls all celebrated wearing their matching black silk pajamas as they had their hair and makeup perfected in the suite. Then, Jessica changed out of her white pajama set and into her beautiful wedding gown with help from her mother. Her slim fit gown with its subtle fit and flare silhouette looked so classic and graceful and was extra special as it had a piece of her mother's gown sewn into the hem. Jessica was such a radiant bride!
The couple met up before their ceremony at the Merchants' Exchange Building to see each other for the first time on this special day. And Joey's reaction was so cute! After their exciting first look, we filmed while the couple and their wedding party had photos taken there, and again at their venue, by Amber Dawn Photography. And it was a joy to work with her team for Jessica and Joey's wedding.
Then, it was time for the ceremony to begin! We traveled to The Lucy, one of Cescaphe's gorgeous venues, for Jessica and Joey's wedding ceremony. We loved how emotional Joey became at the sight of his bride walking up the aisle to meet him. The two recited their vows and were now, "Mr. and Mrs."!
After the ceremony concluded, it was time for the party to begin! Jessica and Joey descended the grand staircase and danced their first dance together "on a cloud". This was followed by a heartfelt toast to the couple given by Jessica's father as he expressed his love for Jessica and his admiration for Joey as he welcomed him into his family. We heard additional, beautiful toasts from Jessica's maid of honor, her sister, and from Joey's two best men while salads were enjoyed.
Jessica and Joey shared dances with their parents before the floor opened to everyone. And BME Event Group kept everyone out there having a blast and dancing all evening long! The couple even had a fun mobile cigar bar there for everyone to partake in the celebration!
Even though the rain had moved into the city on this day, it didn't put a damper on anything. The day was so beautiful and it was wonderful to be there to capture the love and share in the joy of this special day. Congratulations to Jessica and Joey and we wish you "health for 100 years"!
