Finding Feathers // Sarina + Richard

Sarina and Richard’s wedding was as romantic and as honestly dramatic as any wedding we’ve filmed to date.  Filled with so many tender moments, it was as romantic as Richard’s marriage proposal to Sarina.  His proposal had happened during a trip to Italy for a friend’s wedding about a year earlier.  After a thunderstorm had passed through the Piazza San Marco in Venice, completely emptying the square of people, Richard seized the moment, got down on one knee and asked Sarina to be his wife with a ring he had carefully concealed until that moment.  What an enchanting beginning to this wonderful love story.

Sarina and Richard prepared for their special day in separate locations.  This couple is very tech-savvy for sure.  So it was very apropos that while Sarina got ready at her parents’ home, she typed out a thoughtful love note for her groom on her computer.  Taking advantage of our modern technology, she sent it to him to be received on his smartphone!  And Richard did the same – sending his sincere love letter to Sarina’s laptop!

Their notes spoke about a deep love, as Sarina stated how blessed that she was that she found her true love and Richard vowed an unbreakable and unending commitment to her.  The two skipped a first look, opting instead to share that moment at the altar.

Sarina looked just like a princess on her wedding day!  Her strapless gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a lovely A-line silhouette with beautiful delicate beadwork throughout.  She wore a a thin, beaded headband and necklace and a modern tulle shawl with beading that matched her dress.  Sarina’s romantic flower bouquet from Addie Rose II Floral Events was just so perfect in soft shades of pink, ivory and sage green.

Their traditional ceremony was held at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Moorestown, NJ.  We loved their ceremony and especially the message delivered by their officiant, Father Peter Saporito.   He stressed that their identity now is as husband and wife, but most importantly, their individual identities as Sarina and Richard should remain the same.  And that the two should never be afraid to show their affection in front of others, because as he so poignantly stated, “we need to see people in love”.

While in Moorestown, we took time out in the busy day to capture footage of Sarina and Richard strolling down the historic town’s Main Street.  Beautiful photos of the couple and the entire event were taken by Sharyn Frenkel Photography.  Be sure to scroll through Sharyn’s Facebook page to see a preview of some beauteous photos of the couple!

On to their reception at The Merion in Cinnaminson.  Soft, lush floral arrangements in tall glass vases adorned the round tables.  And their amazing and delectable four-tier cake from Merion Caterers mirrored the beautiful roses in their décor.  All eyes were on Sarina and Richard as they entered the ballroom and shared a graceful first dance together as husband and wife.

Afterwards, The Bachelor Boys Band turned up the volume and kicked off an amazing celebration!  The champagne was flowing, sparklers burned bright and everyone filled that dance floor for the duration!

That evening, we heard such wonderful, heartfelt toasts from their family and close friends. We loved how one speech focused on the finding of a feather and the different representations that can be found in this one single feather.  The couple was reminded to always be friends who find feathers and continue to create their own meaning in life.

Congratulations to Sarina and Richard!
