Extra Fluffy // Bridal Gowns With Ruffles

Once again, ruffles, puffs and fluffy tiers are expected to be a big fashion trend in bridal gowns this wedding season.  Their popularity really took center stage about five years ago and wedding professionals are seeing brides choosing gowns with big, fluffy ruffles for their special day in 2025.

While corseted, slim silhouetted dresses, drop waists, antique lace and gowns with 3D florals are all slated to be the biggest trends in bridal fashion this year, gowns with full ruffles throughout the skirt are also going to be very prominent. For good reason, these beautiful, romantic gowns aren't going anywhere anytime soon!

Voluminous yet effervescent, they’re the epitome of grace and romance.  These lighter than air, fanciful designs are popular with brides, not only because they look amazing, but also because they can actually be pretty comfortable to wear!

With ball gowns also expected to be a very popular dress style chosen by brides for 2025, ruffles and tiers creating full, billowing skirts will definitely fit right in.  Frilly ruffled skirts and dramatic cascading tiers add another layer of dimension, texture and interest to both ball gown and mermaid silhouettes.

Bridal designers such as Provonias, Monique Lhuillier, Martina Liana and many more have all included gowns with ruffles and cascading layers in sheer tulle, organza and taffeta in their spring and fall 2025 collections.  You also must check out Maggie Sottero's Ross bridal gown with its corset bodice and fabulous plethora of ruffles!

And for our own lovely examples, check out Nicole and Annie in two beautiful ruffled skirt designs!  Nicole’s amazing, mermaid silhouetted strapless gown had an unbelievably beautiful, full ruffle detail in that lower part of the skirt. And Annie's amazing ball gown was so romantic with light and airy ruffles all throughout her full skirt and on her delicate off-the-shoulder sleeves.
