A Perfect Match // Dede + Matt

We had the pleasure of spending two exciting days with the bride and groom for this lovely wedding! Dede and Matt’s beautiful wedding event began for us with the filming of their rehearsal dinner held the evening before the wedding day at Delamar Greenwich Harbor in Greenwich, Connecticut. We were so honored to be there for their dinner, a wonderful gathering of family and friends to celebrate Dede and Matt’s relationship and the upcoming linking of two families in marriage.

On the morning of their wedding, Dede and Matt prepared for their day alongside their bridal party at the picturesque seaside setting of Delamar Greenwich Harbor. Matt and his groomsmen were definitely thoroughly enjoying themselves, even breaking out in dance after dressing up for the big day! Dede’s beautiful bridesmaids wore elegant long matching navy gowns, and complemented their look with pretty pastel pink and white bouquets from House of Flowers.

They helped Dede dress into her wedding gown, a gorgeous lace covered dress with a lovely V-neckline and a sparkling rhinestone belt. For her ceremony, she also added a cathedral veil to her hair. Dede was certainly a breathtaking bride! Before heading to the church, Dede and Matt read heartfelt love notes that they penned for each other. Of all the significant days they’ve shared so far in their life together, none is more important than this one.

Before their ceremony, the two shared an exciting first look at their reception venue, with the serene Long Island sound as their backdrop. We just love the anticipation and emotion that always accompanies the first look! We were now almost ready to head to Rye Presbyterian Church for their wedding ceremony where the two would be reciting their traditional wedding vows and making it official!

Before and after the ceremony, we captured moments of their formal photo sessions with Melani Lust Photography. What a pleasure it was to work with Melani and her team! And even with the overcast skies, the setting was so charming and the scenic water view locations sensational. It was during this time that Dede presented her father with a lovely personalized handkerchief as a gift to him on her wedding day. It was such a touching moment to witness. And we especially loved strolling along the club’s boardwalk and shoreline with Dede and Matt as they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other or the smiles off their faces!

Dede and Matt’s reception was held at Shenorock Shore Club on the beautiful Long Island sound in Rye, New York. The décor for this event was beautifully minimalist, all in white with tiny touches of gold and pastel pink. For added interest, white market lights were strung in between the striking exposed wood beams. It was fantastic… and the entire event went on without a hitch, thanks to the expertise of TRUE Event!

We heard such wonderful speeches during this celebration. Who didn’t get choked up during the toast given by Matt’s brother, his best man for his wedding? It was so sincere and from the heart. But laughter was really the theme of this wedding! And the matron of honor, Dede’s sister, certainly had a treat in store to toast the bride and groom, as she wrote and performed a funny, amazing musical mashup!

After dinner, guests partied and danced all evening with help from the energetic sounds of East Coast Music & Entertainment! This was such a fun crowd and a simply delightful wedding! Dede and Matt are so down to earth, so full of spirit and laughter and truly perfect for each other! We wish them all the best for today and for their lifetime together!
