The story of Lindsay and Zach began in the fall of 2007 after the Homecoming Game at Rutgers University, when chance and mutual friends brought them together. Their long-distance relationship continued to grow until they were finally able to be together on a full time basis, starting their careers and moving out to Southern California.
Zach proposed to Lindsay on a surprise trip to the Napa Valley, an experience that he had been planning for ten months. It was a beautiful weekend away, one which even included reservations at the exclusive restaurant, The French Laundry, one of Restaurant Magazine’s Top 50 Restaurants of the World. Zach popped the question at a delightful vineyard and Lindsay, of course, said yes!
That afternoon, Yountville, home of The French Laundry, lost its power. But never fear, the exquisite restaurant Zach had booked for their celebratory dinner continued serving guests by glowing candlelight and lanterns. It was even more romantic than if the electricity had been left on! What a perfect turn of events and a wonderful adventure in which to share.
Lindsay and Zach came back to New Jersey to prepare for their wedding and their new life together in marriage. They chose to hold their reception in a unique location in Philadelphia, The Franklin Institute, an exciting venue certainly fitting of a couple that isn’t afraid of a little adventure!
The two exchanged vows at Stotesbury Mansion in Philadelphia, PA. Christina Hadlow and Table Art, did an amazing job with the event décor and with coordinating the entire day’s events. Everything flowed seamlessly from the bridal party preparations to the last dance. At Stotesbury Mansion, the Philadelphia String Quartet led the processional for the wedding party’s entrance.
Lindsay was sensational in her gorgeous strapless wedding gown. We loved how it had the appearance of being gathered to one side and held into place with shimmering jewels. She also incorporated “something blue” with her “I do” stickers on her shoes! Stotesbury Mansion’s ornate chandeliers and gold accented walls provided a magnificent backdrop to this moving ceremony.
We remained in the parlor and took video of the wedding party while Susan Beard captured their wedding photos. The wedding party traveled in style by trolley to Rittenhouse Square, Love Park and several other Philadelphia landmarks for additional video and photos. Then it was time to move on to the museum!
Under the gaze of Ben Franklin himself (the 20-foot marble statue version, of course), Lindsay and Zach made their grand entrance into the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial at The Franklin Institute. What an amazing location for a wedding reception! The guests enjoyed several halls and exhibits within the museum for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and mingling that evening. Sam Hill Entertainment’s Nocturne did a wonderful job in leading the announcements and bringing their high energy music for that evening… and the guests certainly took advantage of that dance floor! We witnessed some true professional dancers that night!
As the band concluded the evening with, “Don’t Stop Believing”, we know that Lindsay and Zach will always continue to believe in each other and their love will only grow with each passing year. Congratulations to Lindsay and Zach!
