Jackie and Erik met in high school and became good friends. Erik later went off to the military and was eventually deployed to Afghanistan. A few months after his return, Jackie and Erik got together to catch up. He drove 6 hours just to meet with her and the two saw each other in a new light after that reunion. Jackie was in college at the time and they spent her entire college winter break together. They realized shortly afterwards on a trip to visit his alma mater, W
