Danielle and Derek’s wedding was a sophisticated mix of tradition and the contemporary. With their ceremony held at the historic Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and their reception at the luxe and modern Vie, the contrast made for the perfect harmony on this wonderful wedding day.
Danielle’s beautiful wedding dress had a high neckline with a keyhole cutout, covered in gorgeous lace appliqué. It was belted with delicate rhinestones, a beautiful complement to her flowing ball gown silhouette. Just stunning! We loved her modern hairstyle as well, compliments of Jason Matthew Salon, as Danielle chose to wear her hair down with a delightful “poof” at the top. Her bridesmaids wore glamorous long wine colored gowns… and those flower girls in white were so adorable!
There were so many heartfelt moments during the wedding preparations, with the pinnacles including Danielle’s father’s first look at his daughter in her gown and Danielle and Derek’s reading of their notes to each other. Emotions certainly run high during these significant moments and we’re always so pleased to capture them for our couples and their families.
Danielle and Derek’s vows were proclaimed at the historic and monumental head church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Afterwards, photographs were taken by acclaimed wedding photographer, Cliff Mautner. We very much enjoyed having the opportunity to film Danielle and Derek along the Philadelphia cityscape. Even though fall was upon us and there was certainly a chill in the air come evening, the skies were clear and the afternoon temperatures were very pleasant.
Then, the celebrations continued at Cescaphe’s Vie, beautifully decorated with white floral arrangements by Lamsback Floral Decorators. Danielle and Derek’s first dances with each other and with their parents were spectacular. You could truly feel the joy on this occasion. And Brandywine Valley Talent’s much sought after dance band, Jellyroll, brought their horns, rhythm and energy to entertain the guests this evening. Danielle and Derek’s guests definitely took advantage of that enthusiasm, as we could see that everyone had a terrific time on the dance floor that evening!
Best wishes to Danielle and Derek, for all the joy that togetherness brings in life. Congratulations!
