You just know you’ve found ‘the one’ when you feel like you’ve known him or her for your whole life and can’t imagine your life anymore without this person by your side. That’s exactly how Katie and Marc felt even early on as they began dating. After five wonderful years together, the two were married in a lovely traditional Jewish wedding ceremony filled with the love of family, friends and each other.
Katie and Marc’s beautiful wedding day began at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia, where both Katie and Marc got dressed and ready with their wedding party. After hair and makeup was complete, the ladies paused for a celebratory toast before the beautiful bridesmaids dressed into their black gowns and Katie put on her wedding dress. Marc and his groomsmen all wore classic black tuxedos, Marc standing apart in his white bow tie.
Katie was such a dazzlingly gorgeous bride! Her strapless wedding gown had a subtle trumpet silhouette and was covered in brilliant beading. She wore her long locks down in loose curls and accented with a sparkling hair brooch and a traditional veil. Her bouquet was a delicate all white arrangement by Carl Alan Floral Designs. She looked simply radiant!
Before heading the their venue for the ceremony, we ventured with them outside with their photography team for their exciting First Look! They saw each other for the first time that day on Broad Street while their wedding party looked on and cheered! We love working with the super talented Philip Gabriel Photography too! Check out the the stunning photos below which were taken by them! We continued on with them while more family and bridal party photos were taken in Rittenhouse Square and LOVE Park.
It was then time for the ceremony to begin. We traveled to the Crystal Tea Room where their ceremony and reception would be taking place. The Ketubah was signed and shortly afterwards, the traditional Jewish ceremony began. Katie was escorted by her proud parents to her groom who met and walked her the rest of the way to the chuppah. Their chuppah was decorated so beautifully, overflowing with large blooms and adorned with gauzy white fabric tied back with blush and white flowers. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the glass was broken and with shouts of ‘Mazel tov!’, the two were now husband and wife!
Katie and Marc’s reception was held there at the luxe Crystal Tea Room. The grand ballroom features stately carved ionic columns and sparkling chandeliers and was decorated with candles and spectacular tall white and blush floral arrangements. And their cake from Termini Bros. Bakery was simply amazing… take a look at those cascading flowers!
The two shared a touching first dance together and then enjoyed participating in the traditional Hora! We were treated to beautiful blessings and toasts, welcoming Katie and Marc into the other’s family and celebrating their union in marriage. It was also delightful to hear Marc’s best man’s toast which highlighted movie titles as a nod to Marc’s other love (Marc’s career is in film)!
It was an extra special evening as both Katie and Marc’s parents were honored with the crowning ceremony, since both were seeing the last of their children be married that day. Then, the party continued with some really terrific dancing! BVTLive!’s Jellyroll kept the energy high and everyone on the dance floor all evening! Everyone had a such a fun time!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of capturing Katie and Marc’s wedding day and so wonderful to work with them and their families. We wish them all the best and, to echo the apt spoken and thoughtful words of Katie’s father, “all the love and happiness that life has to offer. This is the movie of your lives and we wish you a happily ever after.”
