If you want to make a statement at your wedding, perhaps the best, most memorable way is to make a grand entrance! Choosing a very elaborate or unique way to enter the reception when announced as the new Mr. and Mrs. is definitely on the rise with couples planning their wedding day as most are excited about finding ways to add a special, personal touch to their big day. So if you want people talking about your wedding reception long after it’s over, think about adding a fun, dramatic or perhaps even over-the-top entrance!
There are a ton of ways to personalize your introduction, many of which are even provided by the wedding venues themselves. Confetti, petals or balloon drops are a great way to kick off your reception and say ‘Let the celebration begin’! Courtney and Willam, Jessica and Scott and so many other couples holding their receptions at one of Cescaphe’s elegant venues arrived and began their first dance as delicate petals rained from the ceiling. Cescaphe also provides an amazing sparkler salute to couples as they’re announced… just see Danielle and Tim’s entrance to their Cescaphe Ballroom reception!
Another great entrance idea is the addition of a low layer of fog. A hidden fog machine provides the appearance that the newlyweds are arriving and romantically dancing on a cloud! Check out Melissa and Michael’s grand entrance at the Venetian for just one beautiful example.
A terrific lead in to an amazing choreographed dance routine is yet another way to make that unforgettable entrance to your reception. This isn’t your typical waltz or slow dance… we’re talking about an unexpected high-energy routine that will knock the socks off your guests! You can even get your bridal party in on the act and create a dance routine that rivals a Broadway musical! Check out a post we wrote a few years ago for great tips and examples.
If your reception is held outdoors where all your guests will witness you pull up, why not make a spectacular arrival via a very unique mode of transportation? Many couples choose to travel in a limo or a vintage car, but consider more unusual means that either fit with your lifelong loves or your wedding theme. We’re suggesting by horseback, horse-drawn carriage, farm tractor, motorcycle or even helicopter! If your venue is alongside a body of water with a dock such as a lake or the bay, zoom up in a speedboat or yacht!
Finally, if you have a big enough venue and a small enough car, you can always make your grand entrance by driving straight into your reception ballroom! That’s exactly what Claudia and Gian did when they were announced at their fantastic reception at Villa Barone Hilltop Manor!
