Wedding planners and other professionals in the world of weddings have already made their 2014 wedding trend predictions, many forecasted ages ago. So now that we’re inching so close to the new year, let’s take a look at what is expected to be hot for 2014 weddings.
Vintage design and wedding décor is expected to continue to be popular next year. Couples are opting for the overall feel of classic romance and indulging in time honored family traditions, with heirlooms and antiques incorporated into their wedding day. And soft, muted colors such as peaches, pinks, neutrals and sepia tones will be abundant.
In attire, expect to see a lot of beading in bridal gowns. This arrises from the continuation of the Roaring Twenties theme and appreciation of vintage charm. This style of gown is perfect for formal, indoor wedding events held in grand ballrooms and other glamorous venues. For bridesmaids, expect to see a continuation of mismatched but coordinating dresses.
Metallics are expected to shine next year, especially in the form of gold accents. This complements the notion that glamour and the “wow factor” will be big for 2014 weddings. Simplicity is taking a back seat to luxury and opulence and venues will be filled with luxe flower arrangements and amazing lighting.
Finally, wedding professionals expect to see a wide variety and abundance of theming. Weddings will see an increase in personalization and creativity. This is aided by the relatively recent rise in options out there for professional personalization. Tools and resources for customizing weddings are much easier to find these days. And now, a truly tailor-made wedding can be accomplished via DIY, but it doesn’t have to be!
