No Work and All Play… // Groom Prep on the Wedding Morning

the lucy wedding photo  groom prep cord3films

We love, love, love filming groom prep!  Every time we have the opportunity to film the groom and his groomsmen getting ready for the big day, it amounts to a lot of laughter and a ton of fun for everyone!  The guys are lucky because they usually have more time than the bride and her party to kick back and relax on the wedding day before the ceremony, photo sessions and festivities begin. (Nevertheless, we’re glad most brides make a little time to include a stress-reducer too!)

Why is it that the guys seem to have more time on the wedding day to kick back and relax before the festivities begin?  Well, we know that the bridal party usually has more to do to get ready for the big day than their male counterparts! Nevertheless, brides need to make time to include a stress-reducer too!

Happy 1st Anniversary! // Meredith + Peter

Happy 1st Anniversary to Meredith and Peter!  The two were married at the breathtaking chapel of Merner-Pfeiffer-Klein Memorial Chapel at Albright College in Reading, PA.  We loved Meredith’s Welsh family tradition of wearing hats to weddings!  Afterwards, their reception was held at Stokesay Castle, where Peter’s Slovak heritage was celebrated in part with traditional dancing.  Even though their day started with rain (which brings good luck!), the sun was sure to come out to shine bright on their special day.  Congratulations on one year of marriage to a sweet couple!

Riding in Style // Wedding Day Transportation

Having been driven to my own wedding in a pristine “sea island” green 1950 Ford pickup truck, I absolutely believe in the importance of showing up and/or leaving your wedding in true style!  While stretch limos are still the most popular means of transportation for couples on their wedding day, there are other options to consider if you want to make an even bigger statement with your wedding ride.

The first thing to remember is Read more

The Perfect Cover Up // Bridal Robes

Getting all “dolled” up for your big day is something that is very important.  A huge part of telling your unique story is the lead up to getting into your wedding dress.  This is a moment you will want captured in your photos and video.

However, you also want to feel comfortable and be modest while getting into your dress.  Purchasing a robe will help make that moment even more special.  Also, matching or coordinating robes make great bridesmaids’ gifts!

Check out the lovely bridal party all in matching flowered robes getting ready for Meredith and Peter’s big moment here.  Christine’s bridesmaids shook it up by wearing coordinating robes in different prints as they prepared for Christine and Matt’s wedding day!  And Laura’s bridal party received lavender robes with their names embroidered on the morning of her wedding to Marc.  Don’t they all look fantastic on video?

Wedding Traditions // Meredith + Peter

They say it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day, right?  Well, Meredith and Peter experienced the best of both worlds on their wedding day!  The sun came out and it turned out to be a splendid day, just as delightful as the happy couple, Meredith and Peter.  We’re so glad that we had the opportunity to work with them.

While the rain still fell, the groomsmen ventured out for a satisfying game of frisbee golf.  Meanwhile, the bridesmaids readied themselves at Meredith’s parents’ house for the big day.  Meredith gave them all gorgeous matching flowered robes made from luxurious fabric from India.  And Meredith’s gown was so elegant.  As always, Beke Beau did a fabulous job with make up.  And Meredith’s hair was beautifully designed by Miracolo Hair Studio.

She was just stunning as she arrived via old fashioned trolley car at the Merner-Pfeiffer-Klein Memorial Chapel at Albright College.  We loved filming there… that chapel is so awe-inspiring.  And we loved seeing Meredith’s family participating in the Welsh tradition of wearing unique and sophisticated hats to weddings.

Brett Martelli of Martelli Photography captured the wedding expertly for Meredith and Peter.  And exquisite white roses were among the glorious flower arrangements provided that day by Wishes Entertaining and Event Design.

After the ceremony, the guests had a ball at Stokesay Castle.  Entertainment by EBE featured the band, Paris.  They were terrific.  And the guests were thrilled to witness, at Peter’s grandmother’s request, the wedding couple dance a Babushka/Apron dance in honor of Peter’s Slovak heritage.  Everyone had such a blast, including us!  We wish a lifetime of happiness to Meredith and Peter!
