Officially Official // Jayne + Mike

Jayne and Mike (also known to many as Fitz) met while in high school after being set up by mutual friends.  Although they went to different schools, she went with him as his date to his senior prom and the two dated for a time.  They went their separate ways (in Florida and Pennsylvania) during their college years, but began dating again once they moved back to their hometowns… and fell in love.

Jayne’s pup Charlie was included in Mike’s very thoughtful proposal!  The two always love taking him for a walk, so on one Friday evening, they walked him down to Jayne’s parents’ front porch.  There, Mike popped the question in a spot that holds a special place in Jayne’s heart.  Of course, Jayne said ‘yes’!  Afterwards, they went to dinner as they had planned before their walk.  However, now family and friends all met them there to celebrate!

On the morning of their highly anticipated day, Jayne got ready at her parents’ home in Warrington, Pennsylvania.  Amanda D’Andrea Hair and All Dolled Up Makeup finished up with their professional services, then the bridal party took some time aside to celebrate and toast the bride!  Afterwards, Jayne’s bridal party put on their beautiful matching black gowns.  We always love a black and white wedding event!

Jayne’s mother then helped her into her wedding dress.  Jayne wore an amazing Tara Keely by Lazaro trumpet gown with a sparkling embroidered overlay, a deep-V illusion neckline, thin shoulder straps and a stunning open back design.  She accessorized with a delicate, sparkling sash and a long, flowing cathedral veil for the ceremony.  And those soft blue-green shoes from Badgley Mischka were the perfect choice to compliment, while also providing that important ‘something blue’!

The bridal party carried lovely flowers from Fabufloras in the always-romantic color combination of white and that rich, peachy-blush.  Jayne’s gorgeous bouquet had extra special meaning as it held her mother’s rosary on the handle.  It was a wonderful personal touch.  And we loved seeing her father and bridal party get their first look at the bride coming down the stairs!

Meanwhile, Mike and his groomsmen dressed into their classic black tuxedos at the Courtyard by Marriott in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.  But they had plenty of time to relax and have breakfast before getting ready for the day’s events!  Mike’s brother and father helped him with his final touches before it was time to travel to the ceremony location.

Jayne and Mike decided to forgo a first look and instead, see each other for the first time at the altar.  So it was then time to head to the church!  Their ceremony was held just up the road at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church in Warrington.  Father Anthony Raymundo performed the celebration of matrimony, led the two in reciting their traditional vows and exchanging rings, then pronounced them as ‘husband and wife’.

Then, we traveled to the couple’s fantastic reception venue!  Jayne and Mike’s reception was held at The Manor House at Commonwealth in Horsham, Pennsylvania.  The historic farmhouse venue was adorned in white and blush, with towering floral table centerpieces and romantic votive candles.  And the 18th century fieldstone wall behind the couple’s sweetheart table gives this ballroom such a cozy, warm and lovingly-weathered vibe.

Before the events were set to begin, we were thrilled to film alongside Daniel Fosse and his second shooter, Anna Alexander, from Morby Photography, as they captured day’s events in photos.  The team from Morby Photography is always fantastic, this wedding being no exception.  And Jayne, Mike and their bridal party totally enjoyed themselves, too!  Check out some photos below and on their blog!

The newlyweds were introduced to the cheers of their family and friends, and danced their beautiful first dance of the evening, their first dance as Mr. and Mrs.!  Jayne’s father then gave a wonderful welcome speech and toast to the couple of honor.  We loved when he told them to “take it all in and enjoy” that wonderful day.

Following his heartfelt speech, Jayne danced with her father and Mike with his aunt.  Later, Mike’s best man, his brother, and Jayne’s sister and matron of honor toasted the couple with beautiful, thoughtful speeches filled with fun stories and happy memories.

After dinner, the dance floor was opened to everyone and it was time to party!  New Power Soul brought such energy and kept all of Jayne and Mike’s guests out on the floor and having a ball dancing the night away!  You can clearly see just how much fun everyone had that evening!

Working with this sweet couple was such a dream for us, from our very first phone call to the end of their evening’s events and beyond.  Their wedding day was such a beautiful affair and an overwhelming success.  Congratulations to Jayne and Mike!  We wish them a lifetime of wedded bliss!

Wedding Celebration, Part II // Morgan + Kyle

Morgan and Kyle met on a fun “Mexican Monday” outing at a favorite local restaurant.  A mutual friend had invited each of them and over $2 coronas, margaritas, half price nachos and quesadillas, they got to know each other.  And the rest is history, as they say!

Kyle had tried to propose to Morgan in Lambertville, New Jersey during a “walk down memory lane”, but just couldn’t get the timing to work.  So the two ended up at a scenic overlook with the fall leaves changing their colors as the beautiful backdrop.  We think that’s the perfect place to start your forever together.

We learned that Morgan and Kyle actually got married before their postponed wedding event held on this day.  So this wedding was a wonderful “Part 2” of their wedding celebration!  The couple both got ready for their day at their venue, Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn in Lambertville.  Once Flawless Finish Artistry perfected hair and makeup, Morgan dressed into her gorgeous strapless wedding gown.  It had a sweetheart neckline, a princess silhouette and a gorgeous lace overlay.  She accentuated her look with a sparkling headband, a beautiful necklace and pearl drop earrings.  Morgan was such a stunning bride!

After they were all dressed and ready to go, Morgan and Kyle shared a sweet first look outside at their venue.  It was so exciting to see the two as they saw each other for the first time, all dressed to the nines, and both so thrilled and ready to continue in this new chapter in their lives.  We loved how Kyle remarked that Morgan was able to keep her look a secret from him this whole time!

The couple had a terrific photo shoot together and with their wedding party after the first look.  And it was so great to work with our friends Mike and his second shooter at Morby Photography again for this special event!  We saw some of the photos with the river and the iconic bridge in the background and they were amazing.

Morgan and Kyle chose to hold their ceremony there in the same fantastic venue.  This historic restaurant and inn overlooking the scenic Delaware River is so warm and inviting and boasts beautiful views of the riverfront and rolling hills.  The pink and burgundy floral arrangements from Carousel Flowers were so delightful and the white pumpkins were absolutely perfect for this fall wedding event.  During their ceremony, the couple shared beautifully written personal vows.

In the Riverside Ballroom, Morgan and Kyle’s reception kicked off as they entered the room and were introduced to their guests!  They danced the first dance of the reception, then during the evening we heard such thoughtful formal toasts from Morgan’s mother, her maid of honor and from Kyle’s best man.  Morgan was sure to dance with her father and Kyle with his mother during the evening’s events, a sweet honor and tribute to their parents.

Then, all the guests were invited to the dance floor!  DJ Richie Abrams from Cutting Edge Entertainment played the hits that kept everyone out on that dance floor all night long!  You could see how much fun everyone had as they celebrated the couple and their long awaited wedding day!  And take a look at their delectable, shamrock-adorned, five-tiered wedding cake from Ciao Bella Cakes!

Morgan and Kyle’s wedding event was so fantastic, and we were so happy to be there to celebrate with them and to capture the moments.  Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds!

The Best in Each Other // Ashley + Greg

Ashley and Greg met just like so many of us do today, online!  Their first date was wonderful, as well as incredibly long… so long in fact, that Ashley’s family kept texting her to make sure everything was okay!  It was, of course, as Ashley told them.  She was just on her last first date ever.

reg took Ashley to Marsh Creek to look at the snow on what was the one and only day it snowed in 2020.   The two walked by the water, enjoyed the fresh snowfall and winter air, and Greg proposed to Ashley by the waterside.  He had a photographer there ready to take those all important photos too!  Afterwards, Ashley and Greg finally went to his mother’s home where they were met with a surprise engagement party!

On the big day, Ashley and her bridal party had their hair and makeup professionally done at Ashley’s home.  But the dress would wait for her arrival at her venue!  Meanwhile, Greg got ready with his groomsmen before heading to the venue as well, excited and ready to see his bride for the first time that day.  And at the venue, Greg opened his love note (that also included a photo of his awesome gift) from Ashley and got his tie on just right!

At their fantastic industrial chic wedding venue, Phoenixville Foundry, we were so happy to film Ashley as she finished getting ready for the big day.  Ashley dressed into her amazing Allison Webb wedding gown, which featured a deep-V neckline, a bodice covered in delicate pearl and crystal beadwork and a beautiful fit-and-flare skirt with breathtaking asymmetrical ruching.  In her relaxed updo, she wore a light, flowing long veil.  Ashley was such a breathtakingly gorgeous bride!

After she was all ready for the day, and opened card and gift (a fantastic Louis Vuitton bag!), Ashley’s father had his first look at his beautiful daughter on her wedding day.  He was so emotional at this moment (and later as he walked Ashley down the stairs and aisle for her ceremony too), which truly touched our hearts!  “So beautiful” was so right.  Then Ashley and Greg shared their own special first look outside on the Phoenix Column bridge.  We loved how Greg complimented Ashley so many times, not able to keep his eyes off her!

We were also so excited to be filming this wedding alongside our friend Mike, owner of the outstanding Morby Photography, and his terrific second shooter, Lora, as the wedding photographer for this wonderful day!  After Mike photographed Ashley and Greg’s touching first look, he captured candid and formal photos of them and their wedding party before the ceremony was set to begin.

Ashley and Greg’s beautiful ceremony was held there at Phoenixville Foundry.  The couple stood in front of a wonderful, modern circular floral arch and recited their traditional vows.  Before long, Greg was kissing his bride and the two were pronounced as ‘husband and wife’!

Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour took place for guests in the Mezzanine.  And during this time, Ashley and Greg snuck out for a quick but amazing photo shoot at the nearby Colonial Theater, where the marquee was even customized to celebrate the happy couple!  Be sure to check out the photos below and all of Mike Morby’s photos on his blog!

Then it was time to head back to Phoenixville Foundry so Ashley and Greg could join their friends and family for the reception.  Matlack Florist and Lilac and Lace Co. did such an amazing job with floral and décor for this beautiful wedding event.  The entire venue looked spectacular.

The couple was announced and entered the expansive ballroom for their first dance.  After everyone was seated, we heard a wonderful welcome speech from Ashley’s parents, filled with both sentimental narrative and funny quips, and the lovely blessing given by Greg’s grandmother.  Then, we were treated to fantastic toasts from Greg’s best man and brother and from Ashley’s maid and matron of honor, Greg’s sister and her sister in law.  After dinner were those sweet parent dances followed by the ceremonial (and so fun!) cake cutting.  And throughout the event, Alexander Clare, a caricaturist from Alexander the Art, also kept guests laughing as he captured their images in those exaggerated drawings!

There were even more extra fun treats as the firepits were opened and s’mores were served, along with soft pretzels from a pretzel truck too!  Dancing, of course, continued well into the evening thanks to the professional DJ services of Sound Factor Entertainment & Events!  We loved the custom-made denim jacket that Ashley wore as she danced the night away.  And to cap off the evening, Ashley and Greg were honored with an exciting sparkler salute from their friends and family.

We were so thrilled to be a part of capturing Ashley and Greg’s amazing wedding day!  They’re such a sweet couple and truly a perfect match for each other.  We wish them all the best as they begin this new chapter together!

What Great Things Love Can Do // Catherine + Tyler

Once again, we were blessed to be able to work with such a sweet couple and a wonderful family on this beautiful wedding day!

Catherine and Tyler met at the beach in Belmar, New Jersey in the summer of 2014.  They had no idea when they started talking that they grew up just five minutes away from each other, as they went to different schools.  They did really enjoy their conversations that summer and decided to meet up again just before Thanksgiving since they would both be in their hometown for the holiday.  By that time, Catherine was unattached, and as she put it, their “flame sparked!”! The two have been inseparable since then.

And now, Catherine and Tyler were getting married…  And we loved how Monsignor Richard LaVerghetta so perfectly told their love story during their ceremony that day!

Catherine and her bridal party got ready on the morning of her wedding at her parents’ home.  Catherine’s maids of honor and bridesmaids wore beautiful light periwinkle blue gowns in mismatched designs and all looked so pretty!  They carried such heavenly floral bouquets in white, overflowing with fresh greenery, from Angela Nicole Design.  Once the bridal party was all dressed and ready, they, along with Catherine’s mother, helped her dress into her gorgeous wedding gown.

Catherine’s sleeveless wedding dress from Martin Thornburg had lovely scalloped lace shoulder straps, and was covered in lace and shimmering beading from head to toe.  It had a fit and flare silhouette and featured a stunning chapel length train.  Catherine wore a breathtaking cathedral veil for the ceremony and had fastened lovely white roses in the back of her hair.  She was an absolutely stunning bride!  And the tears were definitely flowing all around as her bridal party watched Catherine’s dad see his beautiful daughter for the first time on the wedding day as she descended the stairs of their family home.

Meanwhile, Tyler and his groomsmen prepared for the day at Catherine and Tyler’s own house, dressing into their handsome and bright blue suits.  Tyler’s white floral tie differed from his groomsmen’s ties with their bright blue flowers.  And they all wore standout, whimsical socks for the occasion!

Monsignor LaVerghetta celebrated a wonderfully passionate and very personalized Mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Hamilton, New Jersey, where Catherine and Tyler “promised to love each other the way God loves us: unconditionally, faithfully and forever”.  The two recited their vows to each other, exchanged rings and were now ‘husband and wife’.  As they exited the church, they were saluted with celebratory bubbles and headed to their photo shoot via a party bus with their bridal party!

Photos of the couple and their bridal party were taken at the Merchant Exchange and at several other historic sites around the city of Philadelphia by photographer extraordinaire, Mike Morby.  We love working with him and his team and had such a blast as formal and candid photos were taken all day.

Cescaphe’s modern and luxurious venue, The Lucy, was the site of Catherine and Tyler’s fantastic reception, and it was decorated exquisitely for this special event.  Catherine and Tyler arrived and entered the ballroom and danced their first dance together.  Then, Tyler shared a sweet dance with his mother and Catherine with her father… until the two switched it up with a fabulous, fun choreographed dance!  It was simply marvelous!

There were lots of wonderful toasts to the bride and groom this evening as Catherine’s father gave a touching welcome speech, followed by toasts from Tyler’s brothers, from Catherine’s two maids of honor and from Tyler’s best men.  And as Catherine’s maids of honor said, this moment is just “the beginning of a love-filled lifetime of happiness together” for Catherine and Tyler.

Band of Gold was the entertainment for this party and they were so fantastic… and look at what a great time everyone had!  During the evening, Catherine’s father’s band even got on stage and played for everyone while Catherine sang! It was so wonderful and so much fun!

Congratulations and best wishes to Catherine and Tyler on what is just the beginning of a lifetime of love and happiness together!
