All Along the Way // Taylor + Brian

Taylor and Brian met while in high school during the summer of their junior year, and the two have been together ever since then!

As it turns out, Brian chose a very memorable day to propose to Taylor!  He surprised Taylor with a fall pumpkin picking trip, letting her know that her family would meet them there as well.  But on that November day, it actually snowed and the farm shut down due to the inclement weather!  Brian scrambled together another plan, taking Taylor to a hill overlooking the pumpkin patch and orchards instead.  And there in the picturesque setting, he asked Taylor to share his life as his wife.  And she said ‘yes’!  Brian also surprised Taylor that day with a special celebratory brunch with her family and a party that evening in the city.

On the morning of their official wedding (their second wedding day), Taylor got ready with her bridal party at her parents’ home at the shore. She dressed into her Dear Heart gown, which featured delicate spaghetti straps and exquisite floral embroidery.  It had both a deep V-neckline and V-back detail and a lovely full skirt.  Her hair was styled beautifully by JC Hair Design in a sleek updo with a romantic braid, her makeup professionally applied by Beauty on Location.  And Taylor carried a generous, lush white bouquet with their initials stitched onto the fabric wrapped handle.  She was such a striking bride, just gorgeous.

Meanwhile, Brian got ready along with his groomsmen at a private residence near their venue.  Brian dressed into a navy blue tux, looking so handsome on this special day!  Taylor’s bridesmaids all wore mismatched long navy blue dresses that coordinated beautifully with the groom, and Brian’s party were all in classic black.

Both Taylor and Brian took some time away from the hustle and bustle to read love notes that they wrote for each other, to always remember the way they felt on this special day.  Then, it was time to finally see each other!

Taylor and Brian met up on the ground level of their venue, Bay Head Yacht Club, for a sweet first look.  It was fantastic to see their excitement and hear them compliment each other over and over!  As they said, it definitely was well worth the wait.

Then, the couple traveled via Porsche to the beach for a fantastic photo shoot!  Taylor and Brian strolled hand in hand on the beach in a wonderful quiet moment, just the two alone on this very busy day.  Their photo shoot continued back at Bay Head Yacht Club with their wedding party and family all joining in as Paul Francis Photography photographed the joy!  We can’t say enough how much we love working with Paul and his team and getting to see some of those amazing photos afterwards.

Taylor and Brian’s ceremony was held right around the corner at Bay Head Yacht Club’s Dale House, also known as the Boat House.  We loved that Brian’s brother was the officiant for their very personalized ceremony.  Taylor and Brian each stood at the podium and recited their personal vows to each other and were pronounced as ‘man and wife’ again!

The couple arrived in style by boat to their reception back at the clubhouse at Bay Head Yacht Club, celebrating with champagne on the way.  This fantastic nautical venue overlooks the water of the Bay Head Harbor in Barnegat Bay, its ballroom filled with burgees and navy blue trophy flags.  Hanging circular greenery installations and pretty white string lights highlighted the vaulted ceiling.  Jardiniere Fine Flowers filled the room with gorgeous white floral centerpieces, the long table draped with a full garland overflowing with greenery and white blooms. And check out the fun, fresh lemon place cards!

After romantic sunset photos, Taylor and Brian entered the ballroom and danced their first sweet dance together.

We heard such beautiful toasts from Taylor’s father, her sister and maid of honor and from Brian’s best man, his brother.  Then Taylor shared a fun dance with her father before the dance floor was opened up to everyone.  And Hank Lane Music supplied the energetic band that kept that dance floor completely packed all evening!  They were awesome, and it was such a fun night!  Kudos to Stacey at Peony Events for helping to plan such a perfect day!

It was so fantastic to be a part of capturing Taylor and Brian’s wedding event on film, and so wonderful to work with such a sweet couple.  We wish them a lifetime of love, success and happiness!

Always and Forever Yours // Jamie + Jared

Jamie and Jared are such a wonderful couple and truly couldn’t be more perfect for each other.  We were overjoyed to be filming their wedding day and celebrating with them on this most important day, a wedding event that Jamie and Jared carefully and thoughtfully planned together.

This wedding event took place at Glen Foerd on the Delaware, a stately historic mansion and grand estate overlooking the Delaware River in Philadelphia.  Taking a fun break during their preparations, Jamie and her bridal party enjoyed celebrating with champagne outside before getting dressed into their gowns in the bridal suite of the mansion.  Nearby, Jared took some time to relax with his groomsmen, to talk and have a beer before the day’s events.  We were so happy that the couple also took a moment to read such wonderfully penned love notes to each other too, each expressing their happiness and excitement for this day! But soon it was time to finish dressing!

Jared and his groomsmen wore matching classic tuxedos, Jared standing out in navy blue, and Jamie’s bridesmaids and maids of honor dressed into coordinating champagne colored gowns.  Jamie was such a stunning bride in her amazing fit and flare silhouetted, lace covered strapless gown!  She completed her look with dazzling jewelry, a delicate headband and a long flowing veil for the ceremony.  So gorgeous!

Before their ceremony, the couple shared in an exciting first look there on the grounds of the mansion, then entered the dining room to sign the ketubah.  We were so happy to capture these events and to be filming alongside the wonderful team from Lauren Fair Photography on this special day.

Then the ceremony began outside under a gorgeous chuppah overlooking the Delaware River.  Oleander did such a fantastic job filling this event with beautiful, lush florals and greenery. And we absolutely loved the beautiful sentiments, the vows that Jamie and Jared each shared there, detailing their wonderful history together and professing their unending love for each other.

Jamie and Jared’s reception was held inside the mansion and included more beautiful Jewish traditions, such as the hamotzi (or the blessing) over the challah bread and of course, dancing the Hora!  Afterwards, the Mezinke tradition was held to honor Jamie’s parents as Jamie was their last child to be married.  She placed wreaths on her parents’ heads as they were celebrated by their friends and family!  The entire wedding day was coordinated wonderfully by Jamie Hollander Catering & Events for Glen Foerd on the Delaware.

The reception continued with laughter and dancing, with music courtesy of the amazing Hank Lane Music!  And be sure to check out that scrumptious three-tiered naked cake from Cake Life Bake Shop.  But Jamie and Jared planned another surprise dessert treat for guests… pretzels and Mister Softee ice cream!

Jamie and Jared’s wedding day was filled with so many personal touches and was simply put, so perfect!  We truly enjoyed getting to work with this sweet couple and having the opportunity to celebrate with them on this most important day.  Congratulations and best wishes to Jamie and Jared!

A Friendship Caught Fire // Patrina + Charlie

Patrina and Charlie were simply meant to be!  The two met in high school and remained friends through their college years.  They each spent some time studying abroad in London and even ran into each other on the street one day! Patrina’s acting career blossomed after college which led her to go a national tour, but after this year apart, they reconnected once again on the night before Thanksgiving.  That’s when things changed.  And after the kind of New Year’s Eve kiss story that you only see in the movies, their relationship turned from a sweet friendship into a beautiful love story.

A few years passed and the two had just signed a two-year lease on a new apartment in NYC.  They were excited to begin making those changes to make their new place all their own, including painting the walls.  Charlie got into their new apartment a day earlier than Patrina and when she arrived, she saw that he had painted, “Patrina, will you marry me?” on the wall!  She was in shock but overjoyed and painted, “Yes” on the wall in response!

And that day finally arrived in the beginning of October!  Patrina got ready for her wedding event at her parents’ home in Westfield, NJ while Charlie prepared at the church where their ceremony would soon be held.  We loved the fun socks that all the groomsmen wore and were glad we were there to film Charlie’s parents as they helped him with his final touches as he got ready.  Patrina and her bridal party had such a great time toasting and posing for photos in their lovely floral robes!  And after hair and makeup was finished by Beauty on Location NJ and Bruce Dean’s Arrive Beautiful, respectively, Patrina was almost ready to put on her gown.  But first, Patrina and Charlie each read aloud such wonderfully penned love notes for each other and exchanged such thoughtful gifts (like concert tickets!).

What a beautiful, graceful bride Patrina was!  Patrina’s dress was a gorgeous Eve of Milady fit and flare gown with delicate beadwork on a lovely lace overlay that joined an amazing, full tiered skirt.  She wore a dazzling hair brooch and added a long veil attached to the back of her hair for the ceremony and formal photos, many of which were taken on the beautifully landscaped grounds of their reception venue.  She carried a bridal bouquet in white with bright red pops of color while her beautiful bridesmaids carried coordinating bouquets that perfectly matched their deep red gowns with blooms in reds and pinks, all from Crest Florist.

Patrina and Charlie chose not to see each other before their ceremony, but Patrina did have a very special first look with her father once she was all ready to go.  It was impossible not to tear up watching his reaction and their embrace!  We also loved his emotional hug after he walked Patrina up the aisle at First United Methodist Church Westfield to meet Charlie.  After a wonderful message from Rev. Dr. David Mertz, the two recited traditional vows and were presented to the church as the new Mr. and Mrs.!

The newlyweds were treated to a bubble salute from their family and friends as they exited the church and prepared to leave for their venue for photos.  We were so thrilled to be working again with the amazing talent of Paul Francis Photography!  He’s so fun to work beside and such a terrific artist. Be sure to check out Paul and his assistant’s photos of Patrina and Charlie’s wedding day on his blog!

Then it was time for their reception at the Park Savoy to begin!   The reception ballroom was decorated beautifully with tall, cascading centerpieces in white and burgundy and the bride and groom’s sweetheart table overflowed with a romantic garland with massive blooms.  Another centerpiece/work of art, their white, four-tiered wedding cake from Palermo’s Bakery, was adorned with bold blooms in that gorgeous deep burgundy and white.

Patrina and Charlie were introduced and ran through the arms of their bridal party to enter the ballroom for their first dance together as a married couple.  After a beautifully choreographed first dance, touching, emotional toasts from Patrina’s father, Charlie’s brother and best man and Patrina’s sister and maid of honor, followed with the dinner courses.  Hank Lane Music’s Frank Simmons Band brought their ‘A’ game as usual and thrilled guests with terrific renditions of new and old hits! And the big surprise for the evening was an amazing rendition of a Les Mis classic by Patrina’s theater friends!

This was such a wonderful wedding event from start to finish and we can’t thank Patrina and Charlie enough for allowing us to be a part of capturing their day.  Congratulations and best wishes to Patrina and Charlie!

Let’s Get Married! // Alyssa + Jeff

Alyssa and Jeff met when they were in college at the University of Buffalo.  It was just a few months after they met that they both knew they had found ‘the one’.  And after meeting this fantastic couple, we could see that their personalities wholly complement each other.  They really are perfect together!

In our initial conversation with Alyssa, we heard about Jeff’s unique proposal… and how Alyssa really had to work for her ring!  Jeff took Alyssa to a park in Long Island one afternoon so he could teach her how to ride a bike.  After they rode around (and Alyssa was a natural on the bike), they stopped for a picnic.  Even though Alyssa wasn’t in the mood for the cookies Jeff packed, he insisted that she open them at that moment anyway. Inside the cookie box was the ring box! Alyssa was stunned and kept saying, “Is this happening right now?” and “You made me bike for it!”!  What a truly memorable day for the both of them!

We traveled up to Lake Success, NY for their beautiful wedding event, where everything was held at the stately Fresh Meadow Country Club.  It was a bright and breezy early summer day during what is perhaps the most perfect time of year… when the air is warm, the grass is lush and green and the flowers are reaching full bloom.  And Alyssa and Jeff’s wedding was so fabulous, filled with wonderful cultural traditions and a ton of fun!

Alyssa and Jeff got ready for their special day in separate spaces within the clubhouse.  The groomsmen had plenty of time to relax and hang out with a beer before changing into their matching classic black tuxedos.  Alyssa and her bridesmaids & bridesman also had fun posing for photos before donning their formal wear.

It was then time for Alyssa to change into her amazing wedding gown!  She wore a strapless, A-line dress with a simply dazzling light and full skirt, accessorized with a sparkling rhinestone sash.  She was such a beautiful bride!  Alyssa’s father came in and saw his beautiful daughter in her wedding gown as the day’s preparations were nearly complete.  He said Alyssa looked perfect and he was so right!  Before leaving their rooms, Alyssa and Jeff each read aloud the heartfelt love notes they had penned for each other.  Jeff ended his letter with, “Let’s get married!” and we know both were excited and ready to go!

The two shared a touching first look outside on the grounds of the exquisite country club while their bridal party watched from a short distance.  The couple took time to stroll and pose for some photos in these final, precious pre-ceremony moments.  It was a pleasure to work with Clean Plate Pictures as they photographed the couple and their wedding party outside at the venue.  Be sure to check out some of their photos from the day on their Facebook page!

Following their formal photo sessions, Alyssa and Jeff signed the Ketubah shortly before their outdoor ceremony was set to begin.  Alyssa’s parents escorted her down the aisle at Fresh Meadow Country Club.  The couple then met in the middle of the aisle and walked the rest of the way together to the chuppah, beautifully decorated in fresh pink and ivory blooms by Scarsella’s Flowers.  Their ceremony was filled with wonderful Jewish traditions such as the circling ceremony, wrapping in the tallit and the breaking of the glass.

Afterwards, the celebration was in full swing!  The country club was decked out in luscious floral centerpieces and candles set in eye-catching wood candle holders.  As their reception began, Alyssa and Jeff were introduced as Mr. & Mrs., were all-smiles as they danced their first dance together and then celebrated with the Hora!  The Challah Blessing was spoken, then such well-written, warm speeches were given by their parents, including a lovely poem for the couple.  We were also treated to such sweet toasts from Alyssa and Jeff’s friends and family members in the wedding party.  Then, Hank Lane Music kept everyone celebrating out on that dance floor all night long!

We offer our sincere congratulations and best wishes to Alyssa and Jeff!  As Jeff’s twin brother said in his toast to the happy couple, may they have “a long marriage of health, happiness and all the best things life has to offer!”

A Vision of Love // Casie + Eric

Casie and Eric met each other at a pregame party at a friend’s house.  Eric noticed her right away and while he was devising the perfect plan to introduce himself and to get to know her, she left because it was so crowded.  A few weeks later, they met at another pregame party and this time, Eric was able to actually speak with Casie!  He asked her out on a date a couple of days later and Casie said ‘yes’!  They simply clicked after that.  One year later, they were signing an apartment lease together and less than a year later, Eric asked Casie to marry him.  Again, she said, ‘yes’!

Eric’s proposal was so special and so thoughtful.  They went to brunch at their favorite restaurant for Israeli breakfast, 12 Chairs Cafe.  When they were finished eating, Eric asked the waitress for the dessert menu, which was very unusual for him.  The “dessert menu” was actually a timeline of their relationship that Eric had made and brought to the restaurant.  He then got down on one knee and asked Casie to marry him, while a photographer Eric had hired sitting at a nearby table captured the moment to treasure forever.

That brings us to this wonderful wedding day, the biggest one to add to their timeline to date!  Casie and Eric both got ready for the day in Manhattan: Casie and her bridal party at a cousin’s apartment and Eric and his groomsmen right there at their own apartment.  His groomsmen all wore dark suits and gray ties while Eric stood apart in his classic black tux.  They all looked so handsome.  And Casie’s beautiful bridesmaids wore long dresses, each slightly different.

Casie looked absolutely amazing!  Her strapless wedding gown featured delicate lace and beading and a soft, trumpet silhouette.  She wore her hair down and to the side for the ceremony, with a gorgeous long veil (she would later have her hair up for the reception).  Lovely Jimmy Choo shoes completed her gorgeous look!

We loved witnessing Casie’s father getting his first look at his beautiful daughter!  He was simply beside himself with joy!  And before the ceremony, Casie and Eric also shared a special ‘first look’ on the bustling streets of Soho, their beloved New York neighborhood.  It was so touching to see their sincere love and excitement!  Afterwards, we traveled with them to several places around the ‘big apple’ for their photo session with Alison Conklin Photography.  Alison and her husband, Geoff, make the perfect team and are always so terrific to work with.  Their work is also so amazing… take a look at four photos from the wedding below!

Casie and Eric’s ceremony and reception took place at The Green Building in Brooklyn, NY.  This venue is perfect for an industrial chic wedding event, with its incredible high ceilings, exposed brick and glamorous multi-tiered chandeliers.  Mimosa Floral Design Studio provided lovely flowers in modern clear vases for this event.  The entire venue glowed under soft, romantic light.

Casie and Eric had a wonderful, traditional Jewish wedding ceremony under a breathtaking chuppah overflowing with large white roses and greenery.  The two recited such fabulous, personally written promises (such as trying to stay up late for tv shows and remembering to pick up the future kids!) and spoke their traditional vows.  Finally, Eric broke the glass and made their marriage official!

The dance floor was consistently packed at their joyous, cocktail-style reception party!  Hank Lane Music provided the dance band that helped to keep the party rolling.  This was one of the most crowded dance floors we’ve seen!  You could really tell that everyone was having such a blast dancing the night away!  Casie and Eric had such a beautiful and memorable wedding event and we were so thrilled to be a part of it.

Congratulations to Casie and Eric!  We wish you both all the love and happiness in the world!
