Ashley and Jeremy met in a clinic at dental school after they had been going to the same school for two years already. As it turned out, the day they met was to be the only rotation they had together in their entire years of schooling. That just proves to us that their love was truly meant to be!
The day of Jeremy’s proposal was certainly a special day. He chose to propose on the same day as his residency match, the day he would be finding out which residency program he would soon be attending, making it a double match day! After finding out earlier that day, to everyone’s relief, that he was matched to a residency program close to home, he prepared to ask Ashley to marry him that evening. While strolling on their way to dinner reservations at a fine dining establishment, Jeremy said to Ashley, “Even though I already matched earlier this morning, I still have the chance to match to my first choice today…you. Ashley, will you match with, and marry, me?” Of course she said yes! Another surprise was in store for Ashley: their families were waiting there at the restaurant to celebrate the happy news with them.
Ashley and Jeremy’s wedding was as spectacular as the proposal! The two were wed at the glorious Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. It was a very emotional day for everyone. We love to capture the moments of both excitement and reflection, the elation and the warmth. None captured more range of emotions that day than Jeremy. It was so touching and delightful… and brought a smile to everyone.
Ashley was an absolutely gorgeous bride! Her elegant strapless gown featured an A-line silhouette and delicate tiers of fabric to create a ruffled, ethereal effect in the skirt. Her beautiful bridesmaids wore wine colored gowns that were not exactly alike, yet complemented each other wonderfully. They arrived in style at the Basilica, along with Ashley and her parents, via trolley!
Professional wedding photos were taken that day by Sarah DiCicco, the international wedding photographer who also provided Ashley and Jeremy with their fantastic engagement photos. It was a true pleasure to work with Sarah and Tony as we visited several sites in the heart of the city, including the iconic Swann Memorial Fountain, to capture images of the happy couple and wedding party.
Then it was on to the reception! Ashley and Jeremy’s reception was held at the Crystal Tea Room, a grand Philadelphia venue filled with opulent crystal chandeliers and stately carved columns, yet exuding a warm, inviting atmosphere. Carl Alan Floral Designs decorated the ballroom with an abundance of splendid florals in ivory with accents in green and burgundy. It looked amazing!
Milan 77, from EBE Events and Entertainment, provided exactly the musical talent and energy to make Ashley and Jeremy’s reception the huge success they envisioned. As always, they did a terrific job with emceeing the evening’s events and keeping the guests on the dance floor!
We’re honored to have been a part of this magical wedding day and to have been among those wishing Ashley and Jeremy a beautiful beginning. Congratulations to two wonderful people who are even better together!
