Love Fiercely // Despina + Anthony

It was fantastic to hear how Despina and Anthony met, because it wasn’t the typical introduction through friends or a dating app… it was at Despina’s mother’s bank!  Her mother had been using that bank for two years and over that time, got to know Anthony a bit.  One day, Despina went along with her mother to the bank and she (and everyone!) is so glad she did!

Anthony couldn’t have chosen a more lovely place to propose to Despina.  Indeed, he popped the question over dinner at a restaurant overlooking the scenic mountains on the beautiful island of St. Lucia.  Despina didn’t see it coming and was overjoyed along with Anthony, and said ‘yes!’ of course!

Let’s fast forward now to their wonderful wedding day (postponed just once!).  Despina and Anthony each got ready in their family homes in northern New Jersey.  Anthony and his groomsmen were able to relax and take their time as they got ready for the big day, dressing into classic black tuxedos.  And Anthony’s father helped him with the final touches, making sure his bow tie was just perfect, before they all shared a toast!

Meanwhile, Despina’s mother helped her dress into her beautiful wedding gown.  She wore an off-the-shoulder, fit-and-flare Martina Liana wedding dress all covered in gorgeous lace.  It featured a dramatic, plunging v-neckline and ivory tulle side cutouts.  This amazing gown was simply made for her!  She wore a sparkling headband in her hair and a long, flowing veil for the ceremony.  What an absolutely beautiful bride.  But perhaps the most touching part of bridal preparations was the moment Despina’s father saw her for the first time.  There wasn’t a dry eye to be found.

Before they got ready to depart for the church, Despina and her bridal party gathered their lovely, full floral bouquets from Flowers by Peter.  The bridal party’s flowers were in ivory and blush, coordinating beautifully with their long violet gowns, and Despina’s special bouquet was all in ivory.

From the family homes in New Jersey, we all traveled to the Upper East Side of Manhattan for the couple’s ceremony at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.  The cutest flower girl signaled the arrival of the bride, and Despina’s father walked her down the aisle where Anthony saw her for the very first time that day.

Their traditional ceremony included the very beautiful, meaningful crowning ceremony.  Bestowing blessings and symbolizing unity and the sealing of the marriage, the crowns with ribbons are swapped three times by their Koumbaro, their sponsor, before being placed back onto their heads.  The couple also exchanged rings, participated in the ceremonial walk and at the end of the ceremony, were pronounced ‘husband and wife’.

Before setting off for the reception, the wedding party all enjoyed a trolley ride in the city, celebrating with champagne!  It was so much fun!  Their photo shoots with their wedding photographer were so enjoyable as well.  It was such a pleasure to work alongside the team from Milton Gil Photographers as they captured images of the day’s events.

Then, it was back to New Jersey for Despina and Anthony’s reception at The Park Savoy Estate!  This elegant venue with its sparkling chandeliers and classical architecture was made even more glamorous with lush, ivory floral table centerpieces and flickering candlelight throughout.  It was such a gorgeous and romantic setting… simply perfect.

Despina and Anthony’s entrance was announced to the delight of everyone, and they danced their first dance together.  Then, touching dances with their parents were held on the dance floor, always such a sweet moment.

Once everyone was seated, we were treated to beautiful toasts from Despina’s father, from her two maids of honor, from Anthony’s best man and from Despina’s brother.  You could truly feel the love and respect they all shared for the couple of honor.  Afterwards, Anthony and Despina closed the toasts with a sincere thank you to their guests, remarking that this wedding was a long time coming!

Then after dinner, the dance floor was opened to everyone.  DJ Taso was fantastic, keeping everyone on their feet all night!  And what an awesome party it really was!

This certainly was a very full, extremely fun and incredibly beautiful wedding day!  We can’t thank Despina and Anthony more for allowing us to share in celebrating with them on their special day and to capture the moments in film.  All our best wishes to the newlyweds!

Perfect Partners // Tori + Andy

Tori and Andy met like so many couples today, using an online dating app!  They each happened to be at their parents’ homes for Rosh Hashanah when they began their relationship.  Then a month later, they met in person for the first time at a Halloween party in New York City where their now-favorite DJ was playing.  They danced together all night long… literally, as they didn’t t say their goodbyes until 7am!

Andy proposed to Tori on his parents’ anniversary at the end of summer when the couple was at the shore town of Longport.  The two were supposed to meet their friends for dinner at a restaurant but were a few minutes early.  Andy cleverly suggested that they walk out onto the dock to watch as the sun set over the water.  As they sat on the bench, Andy told Tori how much he loved her and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.  He then got down on one knee and popped the question! Tori said ‘yes’, of course!  Andy had arranged for a photographer who immediately came out of hiding and took photos of the newly-engaged couple.  To Tori’s surprise, her brothers were also there and brought their puppy, Sonny over to the dock so he could be included in the photos!  And that wasn’t the end of Andy’s surprises, as he had 60 of their friends and family at her parent’s home waiting to celebrate with them! It was such a special day for Tori and Andy.  And we were so happy to capture the next big moment in their life together and to celebrate with them on their beautiful wedding day!

Everything on this fantastic wedding day took place on Tori’s family farm, a beautiful estate in Ambler, Pennsylvania.  Tori and Andy got ready in separate rooms within the family home, with Tori’s mother helping her get ready for the big day.  Tori put on her gorgeous satin Mark Ingram for Valentini gown that featured a modern strapless bodice with an amazing v-slit neckline.  And another fantastic slit graced her skirt, revealing a beautiful lace underskirt.  She also wore a glittering long veil with such a pretty green vine motif for the ceremony.  And lots of beautiful bridesmaids in their lovely coordinating dresses were there to celebrate with Tori, too!
Andy and his equally large group of groomsmen dressed to the nines in their formal suits with navy blue ties, Andy in his classic black tux.  And Andy was sure to wear his grandmother’s necklace with his father’s ring to keep both close to his heart.
The couple then shared a touching first look outside on the estate grounds, where they hugged and kissed as Andy complimented his beautiful bride.  Afterwards, we were so thrilled to film one of Tori and Andy’s formal photo sessions with our friend, and an amazing photographer, Drew Noel.  The couple had so much fun posing for photos, and we especially loved the ones with the horses in their flower crowns behind them.  Of course, Sonny took part in the photo shoot, too, and stayed to celebrate the day with Tori and Andy!

Evantine Design provided the amazing rows of bright floral arrangements in lavender, coral, ivory, pinks and blues that lined each side of the winding aisle in the fully transformed barn.  We loved how the round tables and chairs were set up around the room for guests to witness the ceremony.  And the huge floral installation filled with peonies, astilbe, sweetpeas, roses and more suspended above was absolutely breathtaking!  The entire space had such a warm glow and felt so glamorous and yet so cozy at the same time.

Tori and Andy’s early evening ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Seymour Rosenbloom.  Andy couldn’t contain his emotion as Tori walked down the aisle on the arm of her parents.  The couple read deeply personal vows they wrote for each other, and their ceremony ended with the traditional breaking of the glass and cheerful shouts of ‘Mazel Tov’ from everyone!

After their ceremony, the reception began with the dance of the Hora!  Hamotzi, the Blessings, were given then during the evening’s first course, Andy’s best man, Josh, and Tori’s maid of honor, Rachel toasted the couple.  Each toast was so heartfelt and delivered so beautifully.

After the second course, all eyes were on Tori and Andy as they had their first dance together, with those sweet parent dances following.

Guests danced the evening away, a total guarantee thanks to the fantastic sounds of Element Music’s Groove Society!  Then Tori’s parents and brothers gave beautiful speeches before the wedding cake was cut and served to guests.  And look at that unbelievable “Lily of the Valley” cake by Velvet Sky Bakery!  We know it was just as delicious as it was such an incredible work of art.

This entire wedding event was so beautiful and so unique, and we were delighted to be there to film and to celebrate with Tori and Andy.  We congratulate them and wish them all the best as they start this new chapter in their life together.

A Future So Bright // Emily +Zak

Emily and Zak always wanted a spring wedding, and this ideal early-spring day could not have been more perfect for them!  The weather was incredible, unseasonably warm and sunny, and their family and friends were all there to support them and celebrate with them at their wonderful wedding event!

This sweet couple met through mutual friends while they were in high school.  Shortly afterwards, Zak asked Emily if she would go with him to his junior prom, and she happily did.  After that evening, he asked her to be his girlfriend… and they’ve been together ever since!

Zak’s Christmastime proposal was as exciting and as romantic as their wedding day would later be.  The two were living in their first apartment in Philadelphia at the time and loved going to sites around the city, and especially to the Christmas Village.  That day, Zak planned for them to go to the steps of the Museum of Art to see the tree and then to visit the Christmas market after.  Once they reached the halfway mark up the steps, Zak got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him!  He had arranged for a photographer to secretly document the experience, and the couple loves their photos with the iconic city skyline as the backdrop.  They excitedly drove to Emily’s parents’ house to show them the ring, but Zak had, of course, invited both of their immediate families and closest friends to be there, a surprise engagement party for Emily!  Truly, the best day ever… that is, until their beautiful wedding day arrived!

The bride and groom both had their final wedding day preparations at their venue, The Grove at Centerton, in Pittsgrove, New Jersey.  Newly renovated and looking incredible, this fantastic farmhouse-inspired wedding venue is situated in the woods of Parvin State Park, and celebrates the area’s rich history in farming.

Zak and his groomsmen finished putting on their suits at the venue, then had a blast as they posed for photos outside.  They all wore matching blue suits and light colored ties, looking so handsome for this special occasion!  And Emily’s bridal party coordinated so beautifully in their pastel blue, light and airy gowns.

Meanwhile, Emily finished preparing for her day with her bridal party in another suite at The Grove.  She put on her gorgeous Hayley Paige wedding gown that featured a deep sweetheart neckline and delicate spaghetti straps.  And that cascading tiered tulle skirt overlay was incredible.  She wore her long hair down in lovely waves and had a long veil fastened in the back for the ceremony.  And her full and luscious bouquet truly popped in shades of bright fuchsia, coral, light pink, ivory and blue.

Emily and Zak’s ceremony was held outdoors on the terrace at The Grove at Centerton.  We absolutely loved how Zak was overcome with emotion, then couldn’t stop smiling at the sight of his bride walking down the aisle to meet him.  This is always one of our most anticipated and favorite parts of the wedding day.  Pastor Pamela Werner officiated their ceremony and led the couple in reciting their very personalized vows under the rustic wood pergola draped in pretty, gauzy white fabric.  Before long, they were kissing for the first time as ‘Mr. & Mrs.’!

Fabulous wedding photos were taken by Magi and her second photographer at Magdalena Studios.  Emily has known Magi since their college days when she was the photo historian for their sorority, and Emily always knew Magi would be the one to photograph one of the most important days in her life.  It was such a pleasure for us too to work with Magdalena Studios once again for this wonderful wedding event.  Be sure to watch for Emily and Zak’s wedding to be added to her blog!

Emily and Zak’s reception followed at The Grove at Centerton.  Decorated beautifully, the floral design truly led to the feeling of being tucked away in a secret, but glamorous garden.  The ambiance was so dreamy, and lots of cascading floral arrangements and flickering candles on both long tables and round tables provided by Pocket Full of Posies certainly helped to continue that air of romance from their ceremony to their reception.

The newlyweds were announced and danced a beautiful first dance together, followed by touching dances with their parents.  As the couple of honor sat side by side at their sweetheart table, we heard lovely toasts from Emily’s father and from her maid of honor, her sister, and Zak’s two best men, Emily’s brothers.  Then that gorgeous, formal tiered overskirt came off and it was time to party!  The Heartbeats performed live that evening and kept everyone dancing and having fun all night long!  Emily and Zak clearly have a lot of friends and family who love the dance floor and really know how to have a great time!

Zak and Emily are both very laid back and so genuinely sweet and it was such a pleasure to film their beautiful wedding day.  We wish them a lifetime of love, happiness and success!

The Best in Each Other // Ashley + Greg

Ashley and Greg met just like so many of us do today, online!  Their first date was wonderful, as well as incredibly long… so long in fact, that Ashley’s family kept texting her to make sure everything was okay!  It was, of course, as Ashley told them.  She was just on her last first date ever.

reg took Ashley to Marsh Creek to look at the snow on what was the one and only day it snowed in 2020.   The two walked by the water, enjoyed the fresh snowfall and winter air, and Greg proposed to Ashley by the waterside.  He had a photographer there ready to take those all important photos too!  Afterwards, Ashley and Greg finally went to his mother’s home where they were met with a surprise engagement party!

On the big day, Ashley and her bridal party had their hair and makeup professionally done at Ashley’s home.  But the dress would wait for her arrival at her venue!  Meanwhile, Greg got ready with his groomsmen before heading to the venue as well, excited and ready to see his bride for the first time that day.  And at the venue, Greg opened his love note (that also included a photo of his awesome gift) from Ashley and got his tie on just right!

At their fantastic industrial chic wedding venue, Phoenixville Foundry, we were so happy to film Ashley as she finished getting ready for the big day.  Ashley dressed into her amazing Allison Webb wedding gown, which featured a deep-V neckline, a bodice covered in delicate pearl and crystal beadwork and a beautiful fit-and-flare skirt with breathtaking asymmetrical ruching.  In her relaxed updo, she wore a light, flowing long veil.  Ashley was such a breathtakingly gorgeous bride!

After she was all ready for the day, and opened card and gift (a fantastic Louis Vuitton bag!), Ashley’s father had his first look at his beautiful daughter on her wedding day.  He was so emotional at this moment (and later as he walked Ashley down the stairs and aisle for her ceremony too), which truly touched our hearts!  “So beautiful” was so right.  Then Ashley and Greg shared their own special first look outside on the Phoenix Column bridge.  We loved how Greg complimented Ashley so many times, not able to keep his eyes off her!

We were also so excited to be filming this wedding alongside our friend Mike, owner of the outstanding Morby Photography, and his terrific second shooter, Lora, as the wedding photographer for this wonderful day!  After Mike photographed Ashley and Greg’s touching first look, he captured candid and formal photos of them and their wedding party before the ceremony was set to begin.

Ashley and Greg’s beautiful ceremony was held there at Phoenixville Foundry.  The couple stood in front of a wonderful, modern circular floral arch and recited their traditional vows.  Before long, Greg was kissing his bride and the two were pronounced as ‘husband and wife’!

Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour took place for guests in the Mezzanine.  And during this time, Ashley and Greg snuck out for a quick but amazing photo shoot at the nearby Colonial Theater, where the marquee was even customized to celebrate the happy couple!  Be sure to check out the photos below and all of Mike Morby’s photos on his blog!

Then it was time to head back to Phoenixville Foundry so Ashley and Greg could join their friends and family for the reception.  Matlack Florist and Lilac and Lace Co. did such an amazing job with floral and décor for this beautiful wedding event.  The entire venue looked spectacular.

The couple was announced and entered the expansive ballroom for their first dance.  After everyone was seated, we heard a wonderful welcome speech from Ashley’s parents, filled with both sentimental narrative and funny quips, and the lovely blessing given by Greg’s grandmother.  Then, we were treated to fantastic toasts from Greg’s best man and brother and from Ashley’s maid and matron of honor, Greg’s sister and her sister in law.  After dinner were those sweet parent dances followed by the ceremonial (and so fun!) cake cutting.  And throughout the event, Alexander Clare, a caricaturist from Alexander the Art, also kept guests laughing as he captured their images in those exaggerated drawings!

There were even more extra fun treats as the firepits were opened and s’mores were served, along with soft pretzels from a pretzel truck too!  Dancing, of course, continued well into the evening thanks to the professional DJ services of Sound Factor Entertainment & Events!  We loved the custom-made denim jacket that Ashley wore as she danced the night away.  And to cap off the evening, Ashley and Greg were honored with an exciting sparkler salute from their friends and family.

We were so thrilled to be a part of capturing Ashley and Greg’s amazing wedding day!  They’re such a sweet couple and truly a perfect match for each other.  We wish them all the best as they begin this new chapter together!

Best Part of Me // Rachel + Kevin

Rachel and Kevin have been sweethearts since high school!  The two shared a couple of classes together and also had mutual friends, so naturally they started to hang out together.  Even though Kevin transferred to another high school for his senior year, they started officially dating and went to each other’s proms.  Then, when it was time for college, they stayed together literally and figuratively!  They both went to the same university and their love continued to grow and evolve.

For their 5th anniversary, the couple decided to celebrate over the weekend in the mountains of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.  They explored the charming and historic Pocono Mountains town and on the next morning, hiked the Glen Onoko trail.  Once they reached the top of the Glen Onoko Falls with its gorgeous scenic views, Kevin got down on one knee and asked Rachel to be his wife!  She was completely surprised and couldn’t stop crying!  Luckily, a couple passing by saw what was happening and took photos while Kevin took out the engagement ring and presented it to Rachel.  It was a breathtaking location and a beautiful moment that they’ll remember forever.  Another day they’ll never forget was their wonderful wedding day!

C.E. Facial Artistry applied the finishing touches as Rachel got ready on the morning of her wedding with her mother and her bridal party at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bensalem.  The bridal party’s luscious ivory bouquets from Domenic Graziano Flowers, with all that wonderful greenery, coordinated beautifully with the maids’ of honor and bridesmaids’ lovely pale watercolor blue gowns.  And Rachel’s sweet junior bridesmaid and flower girl were so pretty in their special white dresses!

Rachel was an absolutely dazzling bride in her wedding gown!  She wore a sensational dress from Essense of Australia that featured a halter lace illusion neckline, a shimmering sheer lace overlay and a fit and flare silhouette.  And that full lace back was so gorgeous!

Meanwhile, Kevin and his groomsmen prepared for this special day, relaxing and even having a drink at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Newtown!  They all looked so dapper in their classic matching tuxedos.  And both Rachel and Kevin set aside some quiet time to read love notes that they exchanged.  It was so touching how emotional they each got after reading each other’s words.

Rachel and Kevin decided not to see each other before the ceremony and headed directly from their hotels to St. Ephrem Catholic Church.  As Rachel walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, Kevin saw his glowing bride for the first time that day.  Rev. Msgr. McAteer celebrated a traditional Catholic Nuptial Mass and led Rachel and Kevin in reciting their vows.  At the conclusion of the Mass, the two were pronounced ‘husband and wife’!  And as the two left the church, they were saluted with bubbles by their friends and family!

Then, it was off to the reception at the lovely Northampton Valley Country Club with its private, tree-lined drive and glamorous ballrooms!  Professional photos were captured inside Rachel and Kevin’s reception venue, along that quiet drive and on the picturesque golf course by the fantastic talent at Artistic Imagery.  It’s always a pleasure to work with their team and document such beauteous weddings alongside them.

Rachel and Kevin entered the beautiful grand ballroom holding hands and danced a very sweet first dance.  This was followed by a blessing from Rev. Msgr. McAteer, then heartfelt toasts from Rachel’s two maids of honor and Kevin’s two best men as Rachel and Kevin shared a sweetheart table at their reception.  Listen to how they all described their love and admiration for the couple, with Rachel’s maids of honor even reciting a delightful poem together!  Then, Rachel and her father danced a beautiful dance before dinner was served to guests.

EBE Talent’s Love 77 rocked the house all night long and kept Rachel and Kevin’s friends and family out on that dance floor!  Later that evening, a Sweet Pea Ice Cream truck offered guests sweet frozen treats and desserts were served, along with that scrumptious four-tiered cake from Desserts by Design, and everyone continued to dance the night away!

It was such a pleasure to work with this sweet couple and their family!  Thank you to Rachel and Kevin for allowing us to share in your beautiful wedding day and best wishes to you both from the entire team at Cord 3 Films!

Cheers! // Kimber + Rob

We were thrilled that we were available for this wedding day when Kimber’s mother, Kerry sent us an inquiry through our website!  It was so wonderful to speak with the two of them as they discussed their plans with excitement, and we couldn’t have been happier that they chose The Ashford Estate for their entire day’s events!

Kimber and Rob met each other as freshmen in high school and knew by the time that they moved into their first apartment five years ago that they were going to be together for the rest of their lives.  The next step in their adventure would be the marriage proposal!

Rob planned his fantastic proposal to happen while he and Kimber were on a cruise with her family.  Kimber happened to notice some roses and made a comment about them.  So while at dinner one evening at one of Kimber’s favorite restaurants on the ship, Rob arranged for crew members to deliver a dozen roses to her one by one during the meal.  Kimber thought it was a joke because of her comment but after the last rose, a plate was brought out that read, ‘Will you marry me?’ in cherry sauce and Rob popped the question!  Kimber said ‘Yes!’!

Months of careful planning later and here we are at their wonderful wedding event at The Ashford Estate in Allentown, NJ!  Kimber and Rob both got ready for the day’s events with their bridal party at this gorgeous venue.  After relaxing for a while on the covered porch and inside the Groom’s Lounge, Rob and his groomsmen dressed into sharp blue suits and coordinated their ties (Rob standing apart in a modern bow tie) and pocket squares with the beautiful bridesmaids’ dresses.  Meanwhile, with her mom by her side, Kimber and her bridal party got ready for the day in the Bridal Parlor.

Kimber then put on her beautiful wedding gown.  She wore a gorgeous off-the-shoulder, lace covered dress with a lovely sweetheart neckline and a fit and flare silhouette.  In her pretty long blond locks, she attached a delicate, sparkling headband and a long, flowing veil for the ceremony.  She looked absolutely amazing!

Kimber’s father and step-father then had their very emotional first looks at the beautiful bride in her wedding gown.  Then, it was Rob’s turn!  They met along the Ashford’s long, tree-lined drive to see each other for the first time on this special day.  It was so sweet.  You could see just how excited they were to be married in just a few short hours!

In the meantime, photos were taken of the couple, their family and bridal party outside on the grounds of the grand estate by the team at Off Beet Productions.  It was really fantastic to work with them for this special event.  Be sure to check out their Facebook page to see a couple of beautiful photos of Kimber and Rob!

Kimber and Rob’s ceremony was then held in the rustic Barn Chapel onsite.  Kimber entered through the barn doors and her father and step-father each walked her part of the way down the aisle to an awaiting Rob.  Their ceremony was very personalized and very sweet (and funny at times too!) as we “took a trip down memory lane” before witnessing Kimber and Rob recite the amazing vows they wrote for each other.

We moved into the ballroom next for Kimber and Rob’s reception.  There, they shared a beautiful first dance that included a fabulous dip, with parent dances following.  We won’t soon forget all the emotional, thoughtful speeches from the fathers, maid of honor and best man that evening.  They were all so well-spoken too as they expressed their love and admiration for Kimber and Rob.  It was hard for anyone to keep a dry eye during those toasts and speeches.

Dancing kicked off next, thanks to the awesome music of EBE Talent’s Dreamtime! Everyone had a ball laughing and dancing!  Later during the reception, the couple was treated to their college alumni song and guests continued to dance the night away to the very end!

Filming at The Ashford Estate is always terrific and working with this incredible couple and wonderful family made it even more fabulous!  Congratulations and best wishes to Kimber and Rob!

Happiness // Rachael + Alberto

Rachael and Alberto met at a ‘Latin Night’ in a local night club, a venue where coincidentally, neither had visited before.  As it turns out, neither even wanted to go out at all that night but their friends talked them into it.  They were so glad they went though!  If they had stayed home like they planned, the two would have missed meeting the love of their lives!

On that first date, Rachael and Alberto talked for hours and hours (until about 3:00 or 4:00am!) and they felt like they’ve always known each other.  Their relationship blossomed from that night and Alberto chose two days after Rachael’s sister’s wedding to pop the question to her!  He arranged for Rachael’s family and friends to be waiting on the terrace of their favorite Italian restaurant, a place that saw many of Rachael and Alberto’s dates early on in their relationship.  It was so wonderful and so special that Alberto chose this restaurant to ask Rachael to be his wife, because, as she put it, “that’s the place where we felt like we really fell in love with each other… over bottles of wine and great Italian food.”

And on a gorgeous day in June, Rachael and Alberto were married!  Rachael started her day with her sister (her matron of honor) and bridesmaids by her side at the Cambria Hotel in Philadelphia.  Capelli & Trucco perfected their hair and makeup as they prepared for the day ahead.  After celebrating the day with some wine and taking some fantastic photos with Rachael, her bridesmaids dressed out of their matching robes and into their blush colored beaded dresses, looking spectacular!

Rachael and Alberto exchanged gifts and love letters that morning and we were so happy that we were there to film this. It was so sweet how Rachael could hardly keep the tears away as she read Alberto’s thoughts on the changes that were ahead in their life together.  And when Alberto was reading his card from Rachael, his emotions were so raw as well…from sentimental tears to pure joy! These were such touching moments and a wonderful keepsake to treasure in their film forever.

Then, Rachael dressed into her gorgeous gown, beautifully covered in lace and delicate beadwork with the perfect amount of sparkle.  It featured graceful lace cap sleeves and a subtle fit and flare silhouette.  And the tiny buttons that lined her gown’s illusion back detail were exquisite!  She truly was such a dazzling bride!

Rachael was sure to have her mother’s memory included on this important day as well.  Part of Rachael’s mother’s wedding dress was sewn into her beautiful gown.  And Rachael’s father’s cufflinks were made from her mother’s ring, given to him as a gift from Rachael and her sister.

Alberto and his groomsmen, meanwhile, were getting ready next door at the DoubleTree by Hilton.  With assistance from his best man and groomsmen, Alberto dressed into his tailor-made, navy blue tux while his groomsmen, including Alberto’s two handsome sons, wore contrasting black tuxedos.

Skipping a first look, Rachael and Alberto traveled by trolleys straight to St. Paul Church for their ceremony.  There, Father John Large celebrated a traditional Mass before leading the two in reciting their vows to each other, promising to love and honor each other all the days of their lives.

After their ceremony, photos of Rachael and Alberto and their bridal party were taken behind the Merchant Exchange Building by the team from Emily Wren Photography, and it was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with them.  It was such a pleasant, sunny afternoon and we were so thankful to be able to shoot outside.  The photos of Rachael and her sister were beautiful and of course the shots of the guys showing off their socks were fantastic!

Then, we hopped once again on the trolley to head to The Lucy, Cescaphe’s newest venue where timeless meets modern!  As always, Beautiful Blooms did an amazing job with the décor and floral arrangements in white highlighted with deep greens.  And the hanging floral installations in the chandeliers were amazing!

Cescaphe was sure to salute the couple of honor with those fantastic sparklers upon arrival!  Rachael and Alberto descended the grand staircase, entered the ballroom and danced their first dance together as a married couple.  Rachael’s father gave the blessing and a beautiful, touching welcome speech and we were treated to wonderful toasts from Rachael’s sister and Alberto’s best man, both expressing their love for the couple and their excitement for the years ahead.  Then, parent dances were held on the dance floor before Mazz Entertainment opened it up to everyone!  They totally rocked the house and everyone had so much fun dancing the night away!  And the mummers were there as a special treat for everyone too!

Rachael and Alberto’s was such an amazing wedding event, our very first wedding at The Lucy, and it was so much fun!  The fact that Rachael and Alberto were so fabulous to work with made it all even sweeter!  We’re thrilled that they listened to their friends and went out that night and found each other, and found a love to last a lifetime.  Congratulations to Rachael and Alberto!

May the Force Be With You, Always // Diane + Jesse

We were looking forward to this wedding for a long time!  Jesse has been a good friend of Glen’s for years.  He actually helped Glen start the business that has today grown to Cord 3 Films.  Now this was a fun wedding, not only because it was Jesse and Diane’s wedding, but it was complete with some unexpected twists!

Diane and Jesse were married at The Old Mill in Rose Valley, PA.  It was a gorgeous, serene outdoor ceremony set against an old stone bridge, gentle stream and lush bamboo gardens.  Diane’s gorgeous wedding gown was light, airy and full, with a stunning crystal sash and beautiful rose design.  Jesse wore a handsome black suit complete with obligatory black PUMA sneakers!  The wedding colors were unique and exciting: bright mint green with eye popping accents of hot pink, as found in Diane’s bridesmaid’s shoes and the flower bouquets.

Another creative touch included the bride and groom’s vows.  They recited their own stirring and emotional sentiments that touched everyone’s hearts.  As always, photos were masterfully taken by Ron Soliman.

After the ceremony, the guests moved indoors to dance and celebrate the marriage of Diane and Jesse.  Diane changed into a knee-length dress and surprised guests with a choreographed dance routine with Jesse!  It was a hit!  And just when we thought it was safe, suddenly there was a great disturbance in the force… Darth Vader appeared at the reception!  Luckily, Jesse, our only hope, heard our cries and a light saber duel ensued with Lord Vader.  Once again, the Jedi Knight used the force for defense and defeated the dark side as we narrowly escaped the evil Galactic Empire.

Thankfully, the party resumed with help from DJ D. Scott from Scratch Weddings, and everyone had a blast late into the evening.  We wish a lifetime of love, happiness… and fun… to Diane and Jesse!
